    Good Points: Safety brilliant. Economy, around 48-50 mpg all the time. Equipment. Looks. Flexibility. Insurance group 3.


    Bad Points: Blind spot.


    General comments: the Mitsubishi Colt 1.1 MPI Blue is a cracking looking little car. Comfy, roomy and flexible. The sliding rear seat and boot width are excellent. The equipment levels are excellent for the price. Auto headlights, auto wipers, electric windows, mp3 playback. The engine is nippy and also has manners on motorways. Excellent driving car. group 3 insurance. Tax bracket a little high and has a terrible blind spot at front quarterlight window. For safety it is brilliant. Side cushion airbags and front drivers and passenger side. I had an accident, hitting a bullock at 55 mph. The car stood up to the accident really well and although it had to be written off, the damage was confined to the outside of the car. The bullock actually came up the bonnet onto the windscreen which cracked and smashed but stayed bonded and no glass entered cabin area. I immediately bought another Colt.

    Good performance for a small 3 cylinder engine, but acceleration is quite slow from standstill. Nice looking car, seems reliable and not too bad on fuel though not as good as l had expected. Road tax group is £100 which is higher than many other similar cars, even bigger one's.

    The mitsubishi Colt MPI has a good spec, good looks, reasonable performance, good load area. Comfortable seats and a good motorway supertmini.
    The best all-round supermini, taking into account everything you need for a price that won't break thge bank.
