    Bad Points: The only negative comment I could honestly make would be regarding engine performance. It's not bad, but it is quite a heavy car for a 1.6 litre engine. Having said that, I've never had a problem with this and the car has always coped well under any driving conditions I have encountered in my 2 years of ownership. Suzuki now offer a 2.4 litre version which should sort out this minor drawback.


    General comments: The Suzuki Grand Vitara is a great "all rounder" that provides exactly what it says it will. It's a good looking car from the exterior and a classy looking one on the inside too. The car has a very solid feel on the road with minimal roll when cornering aided by the firm suspension. The brakes are powerful and have good "feel". The clutch is light and smooth. All of the controls fall easily to hand and have a solid, chunky feel to them. The steering is well weighted and precise and with permanent 4 wheel drive the grip is fantastic. The driving position is high and very comfortable and the interior is very roomy. The best way to sum up this car is that it looks and feels like it should cost a lot more than it actually does.
    This is a stylish, comfortable, roomy go-anywhere type vehicle that deserves more praise than it sometimes gets. As the advert says, "it does exactly what it says on the tin". It also does it for a lot less money than the opposition so, for the average guy like me (on an average income) it makes good economic sense too. I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a reliable, solid and enjoyable form of transport that will provide you with all you need at an affordable price.
