“Trousers”
After a few visits to the Bromley store I decided to hire the mens suits from them. What a huge mistake I made, How could anyone measure 4 men and get it so wrong. The groom had to wear the bride's fathers trousers as his were 2" too short. My dad's trousers were to small so he had to wear his own black trousers and the other two sets of trousers were to tight round the waist. “Started off well but got worse”
I went to the Pronuptia Hatton Garden store last April to try on wedding dresses. The sales assistant was lovely and friendly and there is a decent sized area to try on wedding dresses and walk around in them (some stores I went to were tiny and poorly lit). “BEWARE OF PRONUPTIA BELFAST”
The first time you go to the shop everybody is so friendly and helpful, after that the SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Once the cheque is handed over they do not want to know. “Absolutely appalling!”
Never been on a review site before, have signed up to many as a result of my experience at Mia Sposa Pronuptia to try to stop others going through the same thing. In short, 11 errors with the wedding dress, including things being spilt on it, hidden holes in the seams, empty promises and a whole lot of unneccessary stress. I got married earlier this year in Greece and I went to this store a year before to find my dress. I found it quite quickly but the lady who served me was incredibly dismmissive and I felt rushed to get my dress on then off and then ordered out of the shop. She was incredibly rude to my sister too who came along with me. I was measured up for my dress and she said I was a size 6-8. I thought this sounded a bit small for me but trusted her judgement. Three months later I went for my first fitting and it was far too small! I couldn't even get the dress around over my hips!! She then accussed ME of putting on weight as her measurements are "usually right". I told her that in fact I had lost weight, as many women do in the lead up to their wedding!! She said she would have it taken out. I wasn't stressed or panicked as I had plenty of time before the wedding day. My second fitting the dress was still too small and I was told they couldn't take it out any more than they already had so another dress was ordered in the correct size of 10-12. Third fitting, this was too big, fourth fitting slightly better but too long. By the time of the final fitting it was a week before our wedding and the dress still wasn't right. I left the shop in tears and my sister then called the shop to complain. they promised my dress would be ready in time. I didn't believe them but it was all ok in the end thank God. I would be very cautious about ordering a dress from this branch. The service was appalling and they didn't seem to care at all about the importance of getting it right or about treating their customers with respect. I know the name of the lady who served me there but I am reluctant to put it on here as I feel bad!! There are other bridal shops that will treat you much better.

“Appalling Appalling Appalling and very Depressing!”
I recently went to Pronuptia (now Mia Sposa) in Hatton Garden. I wasn't expecting much because I walk past the window on the way to work and the wedding dresses on display are always awful and half falling off the model(think big fat gypsy wedding but not as well made!). I thought I'd give it a go as they sounded cheerful on the phone, they were local and convenient to nip to after work. They do have a large (basement) room with rails and rails of dresses - so the choice, I thought, would be there....

I'm having the exact same problem with their store in Sheffield. Ordered my dress in November 2010 and was told it would be in the shop in 6 months. My wedding is now in 4 weeks and they still haven't got my dress. Every time i ring they are no help what-so-ever, and in no way reassuring. They had the date of my wedding when i ordered the dress last year, so i can't understand what the hold-up is. When you're spending £1500 on a dress the least you expect is some good customer service. I am now contemplating buying a back-up dress>. I do NOT need this extra stress! Am very upset!

Despite Pronuptia Cambridge having all the right sizes well in advance, I found the suits for me, best man and two ushers to be very disappointing. My gown was one of their own Pronuptia designs which was such a good price a lot cheaper than I expected again the service was second to none. Didn't need to be in the shop at 5.30 the night before the wedding; the suits should have been OK when picked up if not sorted on the Thursday. Pronuptia could do with stocking big fairy tale type dresses. I would know, as I am into designing dresses myself for my family, and if I had a chance at the big time I think girls who want a big fairytale wedding dress would come to me, as I am still at school, I suppose I will have to wait....

I think that the staff at Pronuptia should make you aware of their terms and conditions before you part with your money. If I had known their conditions of sale I don't think I would have shopped there to be honest. Your Deposit is non refundable - now OK, let's face it, most of us will go on to have a wonderful wedding day and won't need to cancel our dress order, but life is unpredictable; and like me, when I suffered a death in the family, even this wasn't enough to warrant my deposit back,...

To be honest all stores will hear the same stories every day..i.e - there has been a death in the family, or the wedding has been cancelled, i don't for one minute doubt yours is untrue but how is it possible to separate them? As working within a pronuptia store we hear these excuses daily, and mainly because they've carried on looking and found something else they like better!
