Good Points: Great band. Great singer. Fun sound, but has it's deeper moments. Would love to see these guys live.
I'll have to make it to L.A to do that though.

Bad Points: Not enough music! There are only 3 songs on this debut EP. The production is really good for what is basically a demo, but I would love to hear these guys fully produced by a Nashville producer. Guess I will have to wait for their first album.

General comments: NeonWest's debut EP is a rollicking Country-Rockin good time, with some thoughtful and fun lyrics to boot.
This California band is definitely one to watch. "Chase It" is the first cut on the disc, and I really dug this one, it's talking about how going to a concert always makes you feel the same, no matter what type of music or how old you are...and how great music is. That's what I got out of it anyways. And they mention The Crue, so how cool is that in a country song?
"Lucky" is a great tune with some banjo, and the lyrics are great. Who doesn't wanna get lucky?
The last song on the disc is my favorite though, "Famous" is a heart wrenching song about lost opportunities and watching someone with potential who never seems to grab the brass ring.
All in all, NeonWest's first effort is fun to listen to, with strong vocals, good lyrics, and great guitars, banjo and harmonica.
