    Good Points: Superb location

Bad Points: Looked a bit tired and they didn't seem to really know what type of customer to cater for

General comments: The Harrow Hill Hotel is a pub/restaurant/hotel located in the country near to the Pilgrims Way with access across nearby fields to tracks and footpaths. It seems to have been under a number of new owners of late and each one has tried to improve the establishment in their own right. Regretfully all this has achieved is little or no major changes and complete confusion to the public as to who they want to target. Logically it would appeal to Londoners looking for a secluded weekend break without having to pay the extortionate prices of the two local 4/5 star country hotels as well as walkers/ramblers. It has a huge car park which would also be ideal for local car enthusiast clubs to meet on a regular basis, but sadly it seems none of these avenues seem to have been exploited which is a pity as it could be a little goldmine. That said, the bar is cosy and the rooms nice, but a bit 80's in decor. When we visited the new owners at the time were offering a 2 course Sunday carvery for £4.95 a head- super value and heavily oversubscribed, but sadly this didn't last as soon after those owners sold up and moved on. The current owners are seeming to rely on passing trade which simply will not happen where it is located- people have to have a reason to visit and in my opinion those people need to be specifically targeted. Anyway, I digress- if you're out walking in the area give it a look in- it's in a great location for a hot Sunny day beer and sandwich.
