Bad Points: It takes a while to locate satellites - much longer than my car Tom Tom - upto 5 mins. This can be a pain if you don't start it up a few minutes before you go, but if you do this then it's fine. It's a bit bulky, but still pretty light.
General comments: The Garmin Forerunner 305 is an excellent gadget for running and biking - the basics like distance run and ave speed / max speed are great to have. I even used it for skiing recently. The heart rate monitor also works well, unlike other cheaper gadgets I have used in the past.
The bad points seem to be addressed by the new 405, but overall these are not enough of an issue for me to ugrade from a basically very good product.
