Bad Points: Standard exhaust can looks like a bazooka.

General comments: I love it. Wish I was allowed to keep it in my sitting room. Easy to ride, (new rider), quick as I need it to be, stunning looks, not many about so its a head turner.

As my second "Real bike" and first "Really fast bike" the Speed Four is bonkers!
The handeling is just completley mental (of course the frame is taken straight from the TT600) you can throw it round corners at 70mph and not even worry about whats going on.
Super easy to pop a wheelie, and it's a real head turner, especially with the sweet sweet noise it makes, every single day I get on my Triumph to go to work I have a big silly grin on my face everytime I head that exhaust. - It's just fantasti ...

The Triumph Speed Four is a superb handling bike with a fabulous exhaust note even at low revs. Fantastic in black with belly pan and all the kit on.
Mine was extremely snatchy under 4K revs and is still a dog in town despite having a remap. This effectively neutered the bike and made it much less of an animal. (Before it was like a two stroke on heat).
The handling and suspension are second to none.
If you haven't had the spark plug seals done then get them sorted as the early designs lead to c ...

I have the Triumph Speed 4 and a Ducati. I spent a lot more on my new Ducati and love it, yet I find getting more compliments when I ride on the looks of my Triumph Speed 4.

I own a 2003 model and wouldn't swap it for any other 600cc bike in the world.
Ps. Have ridden other bikes but there is no match to the triumph speed four.

The Triumph Speed Four looks cool, you don't see as many of them about so you've got something a little different. It's british.

Excellent bike. A true naked supersports bike, not some de-tuned parts-bin Hornet.

I part-ex'd my faired Horent for this 2004 model and what a change! The Triumph Speed Four feels more confident and has a far superior power delivery with no lurching and easy riding in the town or on the open road - the Hornet feels cheap in comparison.
The riding position is a lot more committed as you should be with a sports bike and if you have any back problems they could be exposed on the triumph however the position also inspires confidence when cornering and breaking. On the subject of ...

This Triumph Speed Four is solid. Being 18 stone it still feels chunky and tank like! Having previously had a 600 Bandit, it now instantly feels like a 'proper bike'. The sound from the engine is lovely, not a million miles away from a triple sound, which can't be bad?
Although the tyres aren't properly scrubbed in yet, the feedback from riding is superb, it goes round bends and roundabouts with no effort at all. Can't say what the top end is like as still running it in, but I know it's gonna b ...

It's sure nice to own something that everybody doesn't have but wants once they ride it! Wow, what a great handling bike. The Triumph Speed Four is a slight challenge for a novice, and a ton of fun for the experienced rider. Although you'll be doing a lot of shifting the bike has a steady powerband with a slight flat point around 3000, but I did change the sproket (down 1 tooth) and I couldn't be happier with it. Makes the bike more fun to ride. One word of advice would be to add a windscreen, I ...

Handling - the Triumph Speed Four Sports bike responds well to counter-steering and foot-peg loading via its incredible chassis. Plenty of power but still within the limits of the chassis.
Looks - Belly pan and radiator cowls make it really stand out. I think it's a little ugly without them. Gets lots of attention.
Flag-waving - Triumph are now making fab bikes. The bike press are too race- and freebie- oriented to acknowledge that the big four japanese companies are starting to be beaten on ...

What can i say had the Triumph Speed Four Sports Bike 6 months now and every ride is great fun (but not in traffic) the bike loves to be revved hard upto the 14000 red line! Handling is the best ive ever tried even with my 14 stone on it! Breaks are like hitting a brick wall, you have to watch you dont lock up the front end!
Bad point just that huge flat spot at 3000 rpm,
it only started when I put the triumph race can on, but it freed up a hole load of mid range and top end I suppose you cant ...

I have had a lot of problems with my Triumph Speed Four Sports Bikes. It has dropped a valve and never been the same since being repaired. The CAMS tensioner needed replacing and this was before it had even covered 500 miles. The dealer I paid 300GBP for a service could not even do an oil change they put double the amount of oil in that they were suppose to how can they get anything else right?

The Triumph Speed Four makes me laugh at town speeds, on short bits of loony B road, and on fast swooping, crazy A roads. It even makes exploring greasy, country lanes fun.
The Speed Four is not just an ordinary boring midrange-fourstroke-four. This engine is as eager to rev as a two stroke! Despite that it is tractable enough and works well from 3,000rpm. Then, as the revs rise it gets crisp and purposeful from 6,000 hoisting the front wheel on gearchanges. It goes maniac at 10,000 and p ...

Brakes, Midrange, Handling & riding position make the Triumph Speed Four great fun in town. When the roads open up it begs for revs & takes off like a scalded cat. When the roads get twisty the superb brakes & handling are razor sharp.
Loads of admiring stuff everywhere I park up. And I enjoy every little trip I have to make.
The crazy nosecone really works deflecting icy winter weather & reducing high speed wind noise!
    I just love it
