Good Points:
General comments: Nice place. You have to pay to use the sun lounges in the pool area. They come round from 8.30 to 1.30 and the 1.30 to 8 plus to many people there. Make sure you are not near the bars when you book a apartment. Not a bad complex, would not use the pool as in protest

Old Village Apartments in Vilamoura is a great place for families, if you want to have peace of mind while your kids enjoy making friends with the others kids then this is the place. The people are so friendly and the bars and restaurants have staff who are brilliant. Oh, and there are 3 secure pools to choose from.

Wouldn't return to this place as I would say it's more suitable for older people than families. Set up on a hill so not suitable for people with walking difficulties either. Very bad maid service. Bags of rubbish were left in our apartment all week, even when we asked for it to be moved. We ended up moving it ourselves.

Old Village Apartments is a great place to stay, but it's a bit of a trek into Villmoura.

Stayed at the Old Village Apartments in Vilamoura in October 2004, we have to say its one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! The apartments were wonderful and felt like home, we had all amenities we could have thought of such as sky TV, spacious sun terrace and it was very big! Also the food within the hotel restaurants was wonderful we especially recommend the lasagne and the steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone! Vilamoura, Old Village Apartments - My partner and I absolutely adored the old village. We were staying in one of their typical Portugese-style apartments which was spacious and well-equipped. The roof had its own sunloungers and we even had our own balcony!
The local restaurants and cafes were really friendly and very resonable.
There are two very clean pools in the resort, both of which have sunloungers which are roughly £5 to £10 per day.
Vilamoura beach is stunning and clean ...
