Their site says things like "24 hour customer service" and "online chat" but they really don't provide anything like that. All of those buttons just lead you to more and more frequently asked questions. Very disappointed. DO NOT BUY THIS.

I purchased this to recover some data on an external drive on my iMac. The software was stuck in demo mode, I then raised two support tickets with no success. After following their FAQ's the software still didn't work. Their website wouldn't let me logon to respond nor would it recognise the logon credentials they supplied via email. To top it off they wouldn't respond to my emails about this nor would they give a refund for their faulty software. Don;t waste your time with this rubbish their are other products that do work unlike theirs. I was very disappointed with their lack of response to my isues, they were willing to take my money with no care about the issues I was having.

Doesn't state anywhere but in FINE print that the license is annual Worst, most immature customer support I have ever had. Constantly belittling me while throwing the the words LOL at my misfortune in purchasing their over priced software.

1. The Web-site is a lure site. 2. Support never return your emails. 3. Chat support never works. 4. There are reports on the internet of poor service. 5. THE FREE SOFTWARE DATA TOOLS DO THE SAME RESULTS. 6. DON'T BE RIPPED OFF. The software is VERY slow on a low level legacy scan, 2 days for 500gb and likely never to finish it. My hard drive was stolen and I now feel rob again by this company....I am totally devastated and I will be sneaking a refund, if i can get hold of anyone.

First off, the product works, the old versions do and the new once as well. However, even if you once purchase an unlimited licence (unlimited amount, unlimited period of use, unlimited time of use) of this product they will periodically require customers to purchase a new version as the previous is "no longer supported". Paying 200 dollars every once in a while for this hidden "service" of "Sorry your version isnt supported, pay us some more for unlimited usage!" is making the company and also the product unreliable, you never know when you are faced with a spontanious bill of another 200 dollars to even use the product you bought before.

I tried to get a refund shortly after purchase when i learned that only 100 MB can be recovered for the purchase price of around 30$. I tried several ways to contact the company but never got a reply. I am left under the impression this is not only a bad business but a full blown scam. Btw. even the 100 MB recovery with my license didn't work.

I followed the instructions for use, including only using the "demo" until I found it would work for me. It looked like it was going to work, but at the last minute would not let me retrieve my data. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY AND REFUSE TO RETURN MY ENQUIRIES. Do not purchase this software.

BinaryBiz VirtualLab Windows v5.x
Bought this in 2008, works great. Now the fun part. Suddenly without notice, the software does not run. After paying $200 for the professional with no quota no restrictions , they demand I upgrade to version 6, for 150 bucksm, and now an anual subscription. They claim they do not support the version 5 and my software will no longer run. What a bunch of. Unreal. Beware of this company, no phone number, you get nowhere from their "support" people. Seems they have you over a barrel. Turning them into the State's attourney General. I have the original EULA and receipt and no where does it state you will not be able to use their software in the future after you pay for it. When I purchased it, the software always said never expires. They seem to be real winners.I just checked my support ticket and not only did they close it but now they have removed it and it no longer exists. BEWARE!!!

I found this review not helpful because it clearly show IGNORANCE!
Want the Best but not pay for it?!?! BS!

Software always needs upgrading. Apparently since 2008, you do not want to spend for upgrades. Didn't you upgrade your OS? Let me guess. it was free right? Well, I believe this company are just looking after their asses as is the case in any business.

Forget the details. Upgrade and pay. Trust me, it really does work as they claim.

All's fine with this prog until something goes wrong and you need support.. In years of working with IT software I have never come across an application with such p**s poor backup. Even freeware and shareware have better support than this bunch of clowns give. STAY WELL AWAY!!!!!!!!!
Such a shame, because when the apps working it's brilliant - the best available in my book.

I found this review not helpful because... why did he use it for two years and then all of a sudden wasn't happy? Was he not happy for two years of use?

This is a SPAM review! I know by experience. I dare interested parties to try the live support now and see for themselves.

WARNING - BAD COMPANY.
Item did not work, they took money from me, ignored all my support requests. Even ignored PayPal requests to supply more info.
Come on Binary Biz, prove you are not some scam - reply to your customers.

My ongoing battle with BinaryBiz has been entirely fruitless and frustrating. Now I'm at the point where my only source of power over them is to at least warn others.
I placed an order for "quota" to be used on data recovery software. The software was available for immediate download. The order was placed on October 9th at 5 PM. Prior to the time my credit card info was taken, there was no disclosure as to the time it would take to deliver the "quota." In addition, very suspiciously, they required that I send in a photograph of the front of my credit card, which I did. In an e-mail following placement of the order, they said "Your order has been received, and requires manual processing. You'll receive an email confirming the completion of your order in the next 1-12 hours." On October 10th at 11:30 AM (18.5 hours later) they told me that my quota was delivered, assigned to "session #m186415." In addition, neither of these e-mails, nor the original credit card solicitation webpage, provided any sort of itemized reciept. Their website in one place claims that their FAQ answers how to obtain an itemized recipet, but when you actually go to the FAQ, no such answer exists.
Due to the time sensitivity of the request (i.e., I needed their software to recover files necessary for me to deliver my product to a client) I lost a customer and payment, not to mention the $120 they charged me. Repeated requests at help have brought me nothing. They do not list a phone number or a mailing address or even an e-mail address. They have a tech support system where you can "ask a question" and I have done so twice now with no response. I tried again today, and am blocked from sending any further questions. Their website offers no other way to make any contact with the company. In fact, the website is purposely hard to negotiate, with links that claim "tech support" that send you back to the front page, a supposed "chat" service that is never available and whose link also sends you back to the front page, and other discrepencies such as these.
I reported this to the Better Business Beaureau, whose response was that the case was "unpursuable." According to the BBB:
"Although the BBB has received return mail from the business address, the company website is currently active but does not supply any mailing contact information for the company. For further assistance the BBB suggests you contact the Internet Fraud Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov/ or by telephone at 800 251-3221 for further assistance."
I submitted this same info to my credit card provider (Wells Fargo) as credit fraud. Wells Fargo was able to track down BinaryBiz, retrieve my money and refund me in full. Soon after, my name began to show up on a despicable website called "cheats-and-liars.com" - as others here have reported, cheats-and-liars.com is a fraudulent website with no contact info - no email address, no phone, no physical address. They have ignored all my attempts to contact them through their one online response form.
Now my name is being dragged through the mud. A google search of my name shows the top result as my "profile" in cheats-and-liars.com. As a freelance writer, I'm in serious danger of losing business, putting myself and my wife at risk.
Please, anyone out there considering this company, rethink your choices. Even if they do sometimes provide effective products, their customer service and business ethics are bottom of the barrel.

They are unscrupulous and will harass you to try to take your money.

BEWARE!! Customer support sucks big time. They either ignore requests or say "Read the FAQ's"(I had). The program didn't read anything from the disk and didn't return any messages or errors indicating what the problem may be or how to proceed. I'm surprised they're still in business. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR HELP!!!

BinaryBiz is the worst, most UNTRUSTWORTHY business I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with in my opinion. Charged me twice for same subscription, then refused to refund until VISA stepped in. Do not recommend them.
written by DerralVL on 01/12/2008
This company is no longer responding to support requests, but continues to charge subscription fees for subscriptions I had. They were also advertising options & services in Sept '08 that you could not purchase. Emails get returned as no such mailbox.

Does not recover damaged partition, locks up my computer, stay resident in memory and can not shut down now.
Lock up system drive manager.
Very poorly developed in my opinion, and to expensive for me, company should give you none for testing there beta product I feel.
Therefore I do not recommend BinaryBiz Virtual Lab Client.

Not sure how well it works, never got that far but they don't tell you all the costs until after you buy. When I learned how much it would cost to recover my data, I asked for a refund. I have not yet had a rep;y for over a week and feel I have received no support. I kept writing them since there was no phone number to call and finally gave me a refund. Support and service was no good but due to my experience I do not recommend BinaryBiz Virtual Lab Client.

Can you tell me how you got the refund? They got me for $140 bucks and i am ready to do what I have to do to make sure this is taken care of. BBB? Visa? Lawyers?

BinaryBiz Virtual Lab Client did work for me, but the recovery of over 100GB requires purchase of more recovery 'quota'!
written by tks55 on 18/07/2007
Stay Away! You can get more for less elsewhere.
There is no documentation for the CD/DVD recovery module. Email support is surly and not helpful. The software doesn't work well. I recovered only 1 of 3 damaged files. Another vendors software recovered all 3 without a problem.

I wasted two weeks working with this program to recover a re-formatted disk. The program was able to identify files on the disk beautifully and I could preview the content. Inexplicably it was not able to recover a single file. I spent $150 for nothing. I want a refund. If the company wants to regain the goodwill of the user community, it should (1) provide real customer service, and (2) offer to recover the first file for free.
Try to imagine my frustration, seeing my files on the list of recoverable files, but unable to actually recover them.

I completely agree - the full product wouldn't install (free version was fine). Customer service was rude, refused to admit it was their fault and refused to refund.
