A very nice all round DSLR. I have used this camera a lot over the past couple of years and it is a very nice camera to use. The body is lightweight and solidly built making it comfy to carry around all day. The controls are all well positioned and easy to use. The Nikon D40x good budget camera but nothing particularly special. There are better items out there. However at the moment there are some excellent Nikon factory reconditioned cameras for sale. They are excellent value at significantly less cost than a new unit. If bought make sure they come with the Nikon recondition certificate and the 90 day warranty certificate.

I've owned my Nikon D40x for almost 6 months now and I find it is a good and cheap everything combined SLR.
