Ugly Dolls are high quality, and definitley fun. They offer so much, if you're a little warped, you'll enjoy them because they are so odd, but everybody will love them because of their cute factor. They each have a bio, making each one unique. Twenty dollars may seem a little bit much at first, but after buying one, you never want to go back. The only issue I've ever had is when they put the plastic hook into their heads it tends to leave a hole, but that's fixed easily enough. At the moment I have only four, Moxy (two feet tall version), Chuckanucka, Ice Bat, and OX.I plan to collect many more. I somewhat prefer the two foot ones, because they are so big and soft, but I still adore every single one. They make a great present, be sure you give one that you don't already own! It adds to the fun.

One of the fun things is collecting the whole range, and this is made more challenging by the facy that there are new releases every year -

We purchased the entire set after receiving Babo as a gift.
Not only are these some of the most original toys to come along in a long time, but they look great on our sofa and match every thing in our home.
The stories on each tag seals the deal.

These soft toys are designed to be cute yet ugly and to be an antidote to the typical image of a doll or soft toy of conforming to a standard of attractiveness. They're soft, they quirky and both adults and children will love the characters, each of which comes with its own personality traits.

Uglydolls came about in 2002 but I have been a fan of Horvath's art since 1990. Uglys look exactly like his older works.

<br>I did a search for Kringo babies and they are nothing like Uglydolls.
<br>
<br>I give Uglydolls a 10. We have all 9 plus the Giant Robot version of Ice Bat, and we have 6 of the 9 vinyls.

How long have these Ugly Dolls been around? I just read about them last week in the NY TIMES..and I was shocked. They seem to be ripping off Kringo Babies dolls...but they're not half as good. Kringo has been doing this since the late 90s. Some are on his webpage http://home.earthlink.net/~artistkringo/joybabies.html

<br>Which came first? It looks to me as if these Ugly Dolls are just Kringo Babies Lite!
