Would you trust a credit card company that gets your balance wrong to the tune of £2,000?

Last month Mint's automated system said I owed less than my receipts prove. Didn't want any nasty surprises later, so spoke to the call centre, who said they'd sort it out. Rang again a week ago to check my balance - and was quoted three separate figures between £1800 and £4000, all in the course of the same call! The advisor also told me to ignore my next statement as it would be wrong, but not to worry because things should be sorted out by next month...

Hopefully my new credit card will have arrived before then so I can just check all my receipts and transfer the (real) balance over as quickly as possible.

Mint reduced my credit limit to a level that made the account be over the limit and then had the ordacity to charge me £12 for being over the limit. I would never ever recommend them to anyone. I would prefer to give them no stars.

I too took out a Mint card. I applied on line and was accepted immediately. I got the free 0% interest on balance transfer rate, so I transferred a couple of hundred pounds from another card. All was ok and I made four payments off the balance, on time.

The next payment I paid 3 days before the due date and it didn't clear in time. They charged me £12 late fee and immediately cancelled the 'interest free' agreement and added £25 interest and another £13 payment protection ins ...

I was surprised this month to receive my credit card statement from Mint, which informed me I was £37 over my limit and will be charged a late fee and an overlimit fee.

3 weeks prior to this i had called in to the automated system and paid in £50 which would have met my minimum payment and kept me well under the my maximum limit.

Obviously I was perplexed and questioned whether i had taken the details done it correctly or indeed if I had called in.

Going through my phone rec ...

Very poor service from Mint, recently they decided to up my APR and informed me by apparently putting a leaflet in with my statement amongst all the other leaflets. They say this is adequate notice and as I didn't respond it is final and I can't do anything about it. Customer service is poor stay away from them.

I purchased a product on line with my Mint Card and never received the goods or a refund from the company. I have contacted Mint on numerous occasions and they have rejected responsibilty. After coming to the end of my tether, I have today contacted a solicitor who advises me to make a complaint through the financial services authority. This company is dreadful and has caused me more stress over the last few weeks than I have had before.

DO NOT GET A MINT CARD!!!!
I got one out with them with their interest free offer.
I have just found out that they have been charging me interest the whole time that i have been with them because i made one late payment.
I knew about this late payment and had phoned the customer services to sort it out which i was told that i would get the interest payment refunded to me and that i will not get charged interested until the offer runs out. THIS WAS FALSE INFORMATION!!!! I have just called them ...

Im a platinum MINT credit card customer and have been flawlessly managing my card for over 4 years and was given a very competetive rate. This month they increased my interest rate by a staggering 13%. When I called to complain about this they quoted 'Terms & Conditions' allowed them to increase whenever they wanted and to what rate they wanted and refused to amend the rate. I believed this to be wholly unacceptable and therefore closed my account without further ado. I feel for those who cannot ...

They made several mistakes but the last straw was when they took over £200 from my account via direct debit AFTER my account had been CLOSED FOR OVER 10 DAYS!!!I found that out 2 weeks later. I was the one that had to call them and state the problem and they won't pay the interest I've lost during this 2 weeks due to THEIR MISTAKE...it was just ludicrous to talk to the customer service representatives as they really make sure you realize that they don't care at all!I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MI ...

I should also mention that I am a platinum cardholder. If that's the best that platinum cardholders get from the Mint Card/Royal Bank of Scotland, then I shudder to think of the service levels that other cardholders get.

I would not recommend MINT to anybody, the customer service was very unhelpful with me. My credit balance was £ 05.00, unfortunately that month I couldn't pay it, they charged me an extra £12.00 to my balance.
I contacted the customer service several times. They were unhelpful. I have been a customer with MINT since last 3 years, when I joined it was good, but now?????

I have spoken to many different customer care reps for Mint on the phone and one is as useless as the other, if I had a tail I would have been chasing it for the last 3months instead I've just been running in circles for no reason at all. Each new person you speak to will give you some different and often conflicting information that does not help. Only once have I got off the phone and felt satisfied that I had received quality customer service. They are in no way helpful and they just don't se ...

The customer operators are very unhelpful.

Mint add penalty charges to your bill for anything, more so than other credit cards. Your bill is hard to read, as they try to hide the penalty charges.USE THE MAIN BANKS FOR A CREDIT CARD, AS THEY ARE THE BEST eg NATIONWIDE, BARCLAYS etc.

I am currently applying for a refund of unfair charges on my account. The call centre staff are unhelpful and appear to read from a script. I would prefer to take out a loan than use a Mint credit card!

I have had my Mint credit card for 3 years, and I have never had any problems with their service. When I applied for my card there was no charge for balance transfers. However, they now charge at 2.9%, which is around the same for most credit cards. They also had a very competitive offer of 11 months interest free credit on balance transfers, which at the time was one of the best deals available for credit cards. I see now that they still compete well with other cards, with 0% balance transfe ...

Something has gone badly wrong with this card. It was never cheap, but it had the best-trained, most efficient and most helpful customer service people. Either morale has slumped badly or they're employing people with minimal charm and training, or the card is under new management who seem determined to lift as much money as it can, and to disregard the normal process of keeping customers informed of changes regarding the Mint credit card.
