First, I tried paying for a product on a website many times and kept being informed that they had failed. Then was told that one was successful. When my bank told me that it had been cancelled because of suspected fraud, nothing was heard from them. My Web hosting provider asks me to pay through Skrill. Each month when I am trying to pay it is a lottery. Sometimes I try up to 6 different cards until some comes through. They always claim the transaction was refused by the bank - the banks (more than one) say they were never contacted. About all those people saying their account is blocked.., its because you refuse to verify your details. If you don't verify your address and ID you can't freely transfer money online! This is normal. It's exactly the same with Paypal. To able to use there services over a certain amount you need to do this. I think you're missing the point. I provided all the info they wanted and even linked my bank account and verified my address but then as soon as I got some money built up in my account it was frozen and demands for more documentation came. I supplied them all within 24 hours and now they want to know intimate details of my personal life that go far beyond verifying my identity, and all this over some very small transactions.
By holding my money ransom like this they violated my trust I put in them by allowing them to hold my money.
You cannot dismiss nearly every review being the lowest possible rating, this company needs to be shut down.

Once you add a card, you cannot delete it. I added a debit card for a ONE TIME transaction, then tried to remove it (paypal lets you do this) and all they do is DISABLE it - the card number is still there, ready to enable and use should anyone get into your skrill account. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE practice- I am going to have to cancel my debit card just to get it out of thier system because they can't push the delete button on thier end. We used Moneybookers for three months to use as a payment method for our shop. We had many failed payments that were sent back as "paid" to out shop software; very few payments from international payments worked and we had lots of other problems. The advisor always took ages to respond. The initial reserve limit (not advertised before signing up) is 100% over 30 days. Which is ridiculous. Hi,
I wanted to use MB for buying stuff online as PayPal does not offer that anymore. I signed up and I tried to verify my IDBI Debit card to upload funds, but in order to verify I'm supposed to submit the random amount that was debited from my account. Now here's the problem, I know the amount that was debited in .Rs but I can't seem to find the amount in EUR. I have checked my bank statements, nothing there. I even called up the bank and they said they could not find it. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I always use credit card for Name verification and i see the exact amount of EUR in my HDFC statement without any issues. Even Debit card has to work fine like this.If your bank cant help on this then take a photocopy of your statement and make moneybookers understand about your issue. But still i would suggest you to make a verification via credit card and wait for 2 days to get the exact EUR and then it wont be an issue.

I agree to you about the deduction but recently I had a very bad experience as all of a sudden they are deducting around 50USD/transaction. i recently did a transaction of around 30k which is converted to 406Euros and one intermediatery bank has taken 25euros in the transaction while moneybookers took just 2euro so it maybe some intermediatery bank would have taken your money so you need to ask your domestic bank to investigate this issue instead of filing a complaint with moneybookers.I used one government bank thats why this much charge when i was using HDFC bank still charge is there but it is less.
Its not i am taking side of moneybookers,i am just telling the facts. All banks take money if we do international transfer.

I've signed up for an account a few years ago, it was a free service at that time, 4 months ago they suddenly started to withdraw 19 bucks a month for 'gateway services', I did not get a confirmation by email of these transfers as they were 'internal' and never received a clear email what they were about to do, otherwise I would have cancelled the account immediately. It is very easy to register and verify account. Just read the tutorial. If you want to send/receive money you can satisfy with plain account. It is very easy to fund it trough VISA or Wiretransfer. But if you want to create online store with credit card payment processor you apply for free Merchant account. For chargback MB hold for 5 week 10% of received funds. We are dealing with identity theft with the source being moneybookers.com. In order to purchase minecraft software, a highly popular game for kids, we HAVE to go through them. They took our money, we paid on the bill, then they suspended our game accounts, never game our money back despite them stating it would be refunded. I have been with skrill money bookers for the past 12 months. I tried to verify my acct using my social security number, and for some reason the system wouldnt accept it. I emailed MB about the issue and stated that I can provide them with photocopies and any documentation they need to prove my ss number. 3 hours later, my account was suspended, and the $195 in it was confiscated! actually is pretty simple, just call them and ask them to remove for you .......
Unfortunately moneybooker.com have world worst customer service team .... i need to call nearly 10 time to get this thing over, most of their customer service just ask you on hold or give some super lame excuse .........
just call till u get the right person, he can do it in less than 30 second, that what i get after calling them for 10 times ...
