I have just received my shopping order from Tescos.com I ordered a finest meal deal & the chunky chips were out of stock. So they sent me finest roast potatoes instead. Because the potatoes are not part of the meal deal this time I got charged full price for the whole lot - another £13.00, (I always order the expensive wine). I rang to complain & was told the pickers can't work out you are ordering a meal deal!!!!! What a load of tosh, the flipping list is in front of them; it's common sense for them to put in the mash or et al - whatever was part of the deal. The chap I spoke to at the call centre was a patronising, jumped up little mini Hitler too & rude basically implying he did not give a damn what one person of no consequence thought about their system imho. So for all you peeps out there that thought it would be common sense it's not; apparently you have to write in the comments box of all the items in your meal deal, that they are part of the the meal deal, time consuming but hey ho.
Btw I don't order any fresh fruit or veg on-line any more either as you get all the dregs no one else wants it seems. Also be careful with the meat,
check it thorougly as they sometimes try to fob you off with the fatty grisly cuts too.
I'm off to Ocado next week as they are touting for business & offering free delivery to new customers - can't be worse.

Each time we have bought soft fruits, i.e. bananas, nactarines, peaches, pairs.....within 2 or 3 days of purchase they have become inedible. On one occasion however, we bought bananas which were green - anticipating a quick ripening...but they remained hard as rock for a whole week!! 2 days ago, we purchased a bunch of bananas, and already all have turned black inside, and are only 30% edible.
ALSO, we do not like the system of offering 2 for one. Why not just reduce the price! This would ben ...- Read Guest's review (134 words)

I purchased a laptop computer from Tesco Direct, delivery was on time and was a good price paid for a emachines d620.
After six weeks it packed up and basically Tesco do not want to now about repairing or anything, there try and say its Acer Emachines warranty problem and not there's despite under the sale of goods act they are legally held responsible for taking care of repairs up to six months.
They basically take your money and fog you off hoping you go away.
I can see having to take them ...- Read Guest's review (99 words)

I was shopping with my civil partner and my adopted chinese daughter.
We were shopping for Pink things, for our gay pride campaign later that day.
I got stalled looking at some lovely muffins, so i decided to buy some.
I went back to the car to eat one of my muffins, and there was a slug inside the centre of the muffin, although it was delicious i was utterly outraged at how it could get in there. Just think of what diseases it could have caused to someone who didnt like Slugs!
I took half the ...- Read Guest's review (122 words)

me and my girlfreind used to go to Netto's for our shopping. but now we go to Tesco beause of the range of products they offer. for diffrent ethnic groups. she is from the Caribean so she cooks Caribean dishes. since Netto's does not offer many Caribean ingridients we went to tesco. which has everything. we go there everyweek for our daily shopping sice 2003. we even told some of our friends of what they offer and they now shop there aswell.- Read Guest's review (81 words)

Bought two cooked chickens off the deli which had maggots in. Rang customer service and informed them and they told me to take them back. I explained that I wouldn'have time as I had bought them so I didn't have to cook that evening as we were going on holiday at 3am in the morning. They told me there was nothing they could do . Disappointed they didn't offer me a refund on quite a serious issue, but my local Tesco store is 15 miles away and not having time to take them back I had to throw &p ...- Read Guest's review (117 words)

I have for some years been a regular vistor to my Tesco store in Purley and have over looked the occational smell of sewers, long queues, uninterested staff, mispricing of goods and the rough way they seem to treated suspected shoplifter and complaining customers, it was only until I encountered this poor service that I feel compelled to share my experience.
Today having waiting in the phone section for several minutes around 15, I found myself in a dispute with some rather ascertive customers w ...- Read Guest's review (354 words)

Recently used a Tesco car wash and ended up with the rear wiper arm torn off the car. Response from Tesco was pathetic. After spending two weeks doing nothing they finally said 'we are not responsible'. This is just typical of the attitude of this tight fisted company. Their customer complaints department are completely incompetant and just fob you off at the first opportunity. Who do they think they are? - I shall be giving them the cold shoulder from now on.- Read Guest's review (82 words)

Tesco's have always been my nearest superstore and myself and my father have always shopped there. We went there one Christmas and we needed to buy loads. So we got a trolley and a basket and filled them both. we have found our loacal stores layout very very helful and we went to the checkout. when we got there we were asked if we wanted help with the packing. we said yes because myself and my father are useless at it.
the checkout woman then packed our goods in catagory so we could put things ...- Read jimjimjimjimjim's review (102 words)

Bought a garden fork - with a ten year guarantee from Tesco Superstore in Bolton only for it break in half after half an hour! Took it back and the girl at the customer care desk asked me what I'd been using it for. Unbelievable! I actually had to explain what procedure I'd been undertaking to get my money back.
Having said that it seems some of their staff have a sense of humour. This is hilarious!

Tesco appear to use a significant amount of trickery when pricing their fruit and vegetables . For example 3 courgettes in a bag with no information as to their weight priced at £1.00., Courgettes loose priced per kilo therefore you have no comparison.
I find whatever food you want to buy in their stores you cannot get an equal comparison and are therefore denied a fair trade.
Their latest slight of hand is on clothing . Yes I know I should have looked after the receipt !! Without it I wa ...- Read Guest's review (145 words)

Appauling customer service at Tesco : i bought a product which ,when cooking , was found to have a black foreign body contained in it . The attitude of my local store when it was returned AT MY OWN EXPENSE i.e. taxi fares for which i have not been reimbursed ,was shocking as they found the matter amusing and proceeded to tell me of other incidents of food stuff being returned containing foreign objects : amusing ,i think not!
I was assured i would receive a full report of how ,where and when t ...- Read Mandy46's review (256 words)

Just come back from a wander to my local Tesco and in my opinion had a rather unpleasant experience.Whilst waiting in the queue a security guard came over and told the lady behind me that she wouldn't be served as she had come in after they had closed. The woman debated this with the security guard and from what I could gather at best lady wasn't more than a minute late even by the security guards reckoning.I offered to purchase the ladies 'one small pound like item' but this only resulted in me ...- Read WillHumphreys's review (301 words)

Tesco are rude rip off merchants. i bought a DS game for my daughter and she completed it in 30 minutes.
took it back within 2 hrs of the time onthe receipt and the store refused to deal with the complaint at one stage just pointing to refund policy and literally said "tough".
I was perfectly polite and reasonable and gobsmacked by the customer service person.
I wrote to tesco head office customer services and the reply was equally dismissive - no apology or offer of refund or even part refun ...- Read steveneale's review (107 words and 3 comments)

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH TESCO DELIVERY
I have today had a terrible experience with Tesco's delivery service.
The delivery was booked between 9am and 11am. Tesco phoned at 10am to say that they were running late by FIVE HOURS and wouldn't deliver until 3pm.
I had to rearrange my entire bank holiday and leave a family Easter event in order to be home at 3pm. By 4pm no one had arrived. I rang Tesco, who said that the driver had ended up trying to deliver earlier in the day, before the time they ...- Read Guest's review (159 words)
