    Good Points: Mill dot reticule

Bad Points: Humms.. where to start, lol.

General comments: I've had this scope (AGS Sapphire Series 3-9x40 mil-dot) for about 12 months now, paid £55 for it when it was new as i was short on cash at the time. i had it on a Weihrauch hw77 .22 until my recent purchase of an air arms s200 (which is were it is now, well, till i get a new scope that is, lol), Firstly, I would definitely avoid this scope for a spring gun as you have to reset the zero point on the scope every 20-30 or so shots as the recoil knocks it out all the time (if you hunt, it isn't nice if you only injure your pray because the scope slips from knocks and vibration). at first i thought it was my mounts but after getting some Sportsmatch 2 Piece Double Clamp Mounts it still kept happening. Then I thought it was my rifle, so... i stopped at my local gun shop and had it looked at... Nothing wrong with the rifle... Secondly, The scope is parallaxed to 35 yards and is not adjustable... This means that when you're trying to take aim at targets closer than 35 yards then the scope plays havoc with your eyes. i.e. if you focus on the reticule then the target your shooting at becomes fuzzy. it is completely useless at shooting at 20 yards and under. Thirdly, If you zero the scope at 3x mag then take it up to 9x mag on the same target at the same distance and the pellets land high and left, so, when you go out on a shooting session you have to decide on what magnification and what distance you will be going to shoot before hand. It is Hopeless for hunting. And finally At 9x magnification the image seems a little foggy. The scope has been back to AGS several times and they say that it is functioning as is should do. Now i have the scope on an Air Arms s200 with a 10 shot magazine kit (which is a fantastic air rifle, although i've only been through 1 fill, will review in 2 or so weeks, depending on the weather, lol). I feel as though the gun is out performing the scope so I'll be replacing it very soon. So my advice is, stay away from this scope, there are far better ones for the same sort of money.
