Good Points: Its a lovely phone to look at, very big screen, very sharp.
Bad Points: The battery life is awful, and when you get the low battery warning the phone will probably not last any more than an hour at most. The reception is really bad, it's always 'searching' or no network (I'm on Vodafone and never had a problem with signal from my old phone). It cuts out when making calls.
General comments: Disappointed with this phone, the D840 doesn't give me anything better than my old Samsung d600. The thinness of the phone is nice, but it is quite wide. Wish I'd waited for something better on my upgrade!

I wouldn't bother with it. It looks great but constant opening to check what's been missed is a pain & too much hassle.

The Samsung D840 Ultra IS my favourite Samsung slider- i'd even choose it over the D900!
It has stunning looks and a incredible build quality it feels more metal than plastic. The connectivity is great and so is the quality of videos, photos and music. I love the opening assistant: as it is so crisp thin it is hard to slide open so if you touch the up on the control pad the spring expands and as a result its very easy to open.
