General comments: I was very excited to here this game was coming out for the Wii, and when it hit stores I was first in line, ready to swap COD3. Got to the checkout and only got a measly £14 back for COD3, however no worries, I was getting my Shrek game. It was new at £39.99 in Gamestation. I thought it was a bit steep, but assumed as it was new that was what people played.

So I got home Sunday afternoon and played it till night time. Went to work Monday, as soon as I got home I started playing it again, and completed it. Now I'm not really a geek, I wasn't exceptionally quick, it was just a really short game. I was really disappointed. £40 for 1 days worth of entertainment.

To my further disappointment, on play.com the game was brand new at £24.99, cheaper than I'd brought it even with my COD3 cash back! So not only am I disappointed with the Shrek game makers, I am also very disappointed with Gamestation for the high price tag.

But back to the game - you play a variety of characters including Sleeping Beauty, Fiona, Shrek, Puss and Donkey. Each have different special powers. Punching is by using the Wii remote and movement is with the nunchuck. You can jump, push, smash, roll etc.

You collect Fairy dust on your adventure, the more dust you get, the better special moves you get.

Some of the levels seem to lag a bit, but most are quite easy to explore and complete. Also I must add camera angles are awful, and I found myself jumping off the screen a few times, taking the camera ages to keep up. The overall quality of this game is poor, and you can tell not much effort has gone into the graphics at all. Very pixelated and PS1 style.
