“They all go bad eventually..... I got my Sagem MYX-2...”

★★☆☆☆

written by strawberricherri on 24/11/2005

They all go bad eventually..... I got my Sagem MYX-2 as a gift for Xmas last year(in Trinidad), it worked terrific up till last two weeks ago. Not a full year yet... but all of a sudden it stopped responding to incoming calls by not vibrating on silent mode and not ringing on the normal mode.

However, when it worked, it was fantastic, it's cute, lightweight, economic. The phone is mainly very practical; don't count on the few games and ringtones to entertain if you are bored. Ringtones aren't terrible, except you don't have the option of downloading on this phone.

Just don't drop it too many times.... it's also a little too delicate. I dropped mine 4 times in its entire lifetime (one year), and each time i did, the SIM card shifted and it screwed up its normal functioning. Then you'll have to open it up, shift it back and turn it back on and wait for it to go back to normal.

“The Sagem MYX-2 is an aesthete's phone. It looks and...”

The Sagem MYX-2 is an aesthete's phone. It looks and sounds great, and when I was choosing between it and a Nokia 3510i it won because it was nice and shiny as well as very compact.

It's a shame then, that when I got it home I found it quite difficult to work with bizarre features like if you leave the message composer before sending a message the whole thing gets deleted and the alarm only works when the phone is switched on. I also found the keys very small and often cancelled people's calls when they phoned me. In the end I took it back to the Orange shop and changed it for a bulkier yet easier to use Nokia 3510i.
