Good Points: Amazing graphics and physics engine Better shooting and driving experiences Fun online modes
Bad Points: A little short
General comments: I have been a huge fan of the GTA series since GTA3, and this game is a welcome addition to the series. The graphics are far better than many games on the next-gen consoles and the physics engine is amazingly intelligent.
People say that this game is rubbish compared to San Andreas because there are less things to do, but the reason there are less things to do is that in order to have IV as big as San Andreas they would have to remove the online modes and the physics engine, as well as strip down the graphics.
Overall, this game lives up to the hype and is worth your money.

Not a lot of cars, difficult at times. Super realistic though, a lot of missions, good characters, good story line, suspenseful. Your a really busy character in the game with many friends, a girl friend had a lot of missions so its not hard to lose cash but the whole game is definitely a buy!

I LOVE this game!
GTA4 is an amazing game. It is a truly innovative product with the greatest entertainment value in any game so far.
Unfortunately, as great and amazing the game is, the XBOX 360 is the worst possible platform for it. I have never been so frustrated playing any game ever before! For every hour of playing time, I have at least an hour of staring at the screen ' LOADING' . GTA 4 is a great game in general. The graphics are awesome, the story is great, and the game play is very good. The only negative thing I would say about this game is that it can get so repetitive. Other than that, its a great game and I recommend it to any one.

For me, GTA 4 was a huge disappointment and I think San Andreas was miles better.Yes the graphics are better but I managed to complete 66% of the game in the first weekend. With San Andreas it took me 8 month to get to 60% coz there's soo much more to do besides the missions. Here, there's no fighter jets (not even LearJets) no parachutes, no jet pack, no bicycles, just cars and a boring chopper. IMHO, it's massively overrated.

I expect to be better than the other GTAs but disappointed, there's no drive by shootings, the way cars drive really annoys me, awkward lock-ons ticks me off and sometime you lock on the innocents by mistake than the bad guys. it doesn't even automatically lock-on to head as you get close to the bad guys it only stays on the upper body and you have to raise the cross hair to head every time. there's no reloading, I have to shoot the last few bullets to reload more bullets so I wouldn't get kill ...

Graphics are out of this world. Very realistic city life features, as well as the weather and the lighting of building.
Overall another well made game by Rockstar North. Gameplay was great with much deeper realism pertaining to city life, missions, gun fights, and graphics. Well recommend GTA 4 for the xbox 360.

Does anyone else remember San Andreas?! Harriers, jet packs, clams, graffiti etc. Sure, the graphics are better, but that can be said of any next-gen game. Options-wise though: plpphht! You get what? The same missions, surfing the net(limited), drunk driving is an experience. Oh and you get to shoot flying rats. You need these distractions for when the game annoys you I feel (as any GTA will). I just watched my man get a wanted level for being tripped over by a cop! The cop thing is even crazier ...

Like someone said you need some countryside. The time they must have spent on things like comedians in those clubs that no one is really interested in sitting and watching could have been time spent making a new setting away from the city for a while. Think how much everyone enjoyed it when CJ got left in the middle of nowhere on San Andreas! So much to explore! It was still pretty good though.

I read some bad reviews before I bought this game and can honestly say that the points they made are not the same for my opinion..
Someone complained about the cars not handling well. The cars handle perfectly. Ok, they aren't as easy to drive as in GTA3, but for me, I prefer the driving to be challenging.
Some also said that it's too easy to get away from the cops. Depending on how you make your escape, yes it can be. But again I prefer what they have done with this. It's better than looking fo ...

Fun, action packed, great story.
Gets old real fast, not much new, cover system, graphics.
Good game to play but full of glitches that are both in gameplay, graphics and physics. But if your a real fan if not just rent it.

I do recommend this game to people who do not spend to much time on games in there life, I do recommend this game to people who have never played grand theft auto before and I do recommend this game when comparing it to other games out at the moment for the 360. I think this is the best game for the Xbox 360 so far, but I'm one of those that doesn't like 1st person shooters (dead rising also very good), game looks beautiful, the way you can look out over the whole city and it doesn't develop as you get closer is great, story is good, characters are believable, 2 marks I would give against it is the missions are so similar, bar maybe 1 or 2 (I just finished it this morning) they all have a driving part followed by a shooting part followed by a chase and ...

A very good game. Not the great leap forward that San Andreas was. The cars handle well and the camera and gunfights work much, much better than before, mostly because it's robbed a lot of Gears of War's ideas. The voice acting and script are way above average. It needs countryside, the cityscape gets dull quite quickly and graphically (especially the xbox360 version) it's nothing special. But overall a must buy.

This game is the holy grail for the Playstation 3. The gameplay is incredible and there are just as many new missions and side missions as there are in previous games. The graphics are moderate for the level of power the Playstation 3 offers. But what I like best is the true attention to detail that rockstar have clearly spent a huge amount of time on.
Gta4 is a great game. Everyone that has a ps3 should at least borrow this game for a few days and see what they think of it.

GTA iv is the best game ever, from my experience there is nothing to complain about. I suppose you can go into detail about the graphics being slightly too dim, and the cameras a little strange... But for me I play and game and rate it on enjoyment, how much I want to get back on the game when I get home. And this Xbox 360 game is well recommended!

This game is the best game I have ever played and I can not stress that enough, GTA 4 has been an experience and I have only had around 2 days of gameplay on it. I keep finding new abilities and aspects of the game and when considering everything in the game working together there is so much to do, it all ads to the entertaining realistic gameplay of GTA 4 therefore I well recommend it for the xbox 360.

I personally don't recomend GTA 4, just nothing new in my opinion, is it so and its just the same everywhere its just a city it hasn't got much new content and abilities. Its set on a city but it just feels like its all the same 24/7 surrounded by buildings and there isn't even much different types of action is there, I mean I've found only 2 types of helicopters, truly gutted.

GTA 4 is one the best Xbox 360 games I haver ever experienced, I personally wish I had it for the PS3 as my friend does and although it is the same gameplay the graphics in my opinion are slightly better as I feel there is no graphics lag in online gameplay. The detail to everything is superb which is what makes this game so realistic. The gameplay and entertainment factors better any game I have personally ever played before. Well recommended!
