Webassist forgot about the fact that the web is almost 95% mobile. I'm left with all bundles they have, but they are of no use because of the lack of responsiveness. It's a total waste of money. (read more)

If you expect Webassist to do everything for you, just the way you want it, you WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. But if you want a fantastic tool to generate data-driven dynamic pages for a website, without having to know advanced coding, Webassist is invaluable. I walked into Webassist with very limited PHP and SQL knowledge, and it has been a wonderful and challenging learning experience ever since. We managed to create a clean and simple shopping cart with a custom administration backend in less... (read more)

Although Web Assist can automate many complex development tasks it is NOT a simple wizard tool that is useful to new web developers. 1. You must understand that mixing web assist code through their tools with existing code can create conflicts. 2. You must understand how Web Assist uses sessions, databases and other dynamic data in order to create the correct interactions. 3. Many of the registration, data assist, security assist and eCart tools are extremely useful, but do take time to... (read more)

I have been working with WebAssist extensions for a couple of years now. It took me a little while to get the hang of working with databases but the tools from WebAssist to helped me do things I could have never done on my own.
The design focused extensions will do pretty much everything for you but if you are going to use the developer extensions, reading getting started guides are a must. The forums have been invaluable for me. WebAssist gives a ton of support for free via their...

They have just had the nerve to ask for paid support for their buggy software. They have stopped free forum support and ask $99 dollars to get any help! That is besides download or install problems.
The wise will keep well clear of their products or pay dearly.

I've been robbed. I thought I would save time by using Site Assist and then using the tools that came bundled. I was disappointed. The suite is so full of bugs that I found it quicker just to read and learn to code. Also, the images used to create some of the templated websites are covered with text such that they are not able to be editted and used. Steer clear. (read more)

The software promotes easy to use. While they do make life a little easier the extensions are full of bugs and support is a disgrace. Don't expect any direct answers from the support trsm just the usual run around on how to bandaid fix a problem.
Don't bother with these guys.

I am sure that WA works well for experienced code writers, but my problem is with the very, very steep learning curve for inexperienced Dreamweaver users. It is promoted as as imple eextension that will allow you to easily create forms or drop downs etc. This is just not true. You may well have to spend several days leaning how to use each extension. The instructions are very basic indeed with no fully worked examples to help you. If it was a tutorial on brain surgery it would probably say... (read more)

Think twice about investing too much money in Webassist's extensions for Dreamweaver. You'll pay hundreds of dollars and be surprised by a new pricing structure, one that requires you to subscribe each month in order to keep up to date on the extensions. I am very disappointed in this company. They will offer you a couple of step revisions to their extension and then surprise you with a new version number that requires you to send them even more money. It's a money pit. Beware! (read more)

I was really hoping the DataAssist product would work as well as it was demonstrated in the videos. I tried multiple times and several different methods to get the product to work with no success.
I submitted two support tickets and did not recieve any help that I would deem useful..

Full of bugs for me. The warranty is only good for 15 or 30 days I dont know which one it really is. Regardless, that's a stingy warranty considering the amount of bug it produced for me. I only got two support tickets - then had to pay $30 EACH (even if its a bug issue; there is no email address to contract support directly as far as I know). Their online documentation is lacking to say the least - if I wasn't a developer, I doubt I could use the extensions without paying for support (nice... (read more)

I have been using Web Assist extensions for a couple of years, and they seem riddled with bugs. When fixes are available, they are usually released in new version that you have to pay to upgrade to. You have to pay for support every time. I paid for the extension - why should I also have to pay to make sure it works? Their sales department will only talk to you if it ' s a question related to actually making a new sale - they won't assist in getting help for problems with products you... (read more)

The E Cart extension is worth while. I have the super suite which is full of bugs. Crashes dreamweaver 8 and CS 3 quite often. The digital upload exten is a pain. The dreamweaver tool kit (Ex interakt) product is a much better product for the price which comes with bugs of its own. I don't think it's worth the money. (read more)

Having used the webassist extensions now for a while, I find that the mentioned extensions are full of bugs, the documentation that comes with there extensions is totally lacking. The extensions by webassist come with up to 2 support incidents where as the purchaser gets fast support when they can't get the software to work, this can be very often, they then charge $ US 30 f per support incident. If they had proper documentation and they extensions were not buggy, this would not be needed.... (read more)
