The printing and ink consumption is good, but the squealing can be terrible. Seriously, I would consider another option. As the toners get low on ink, they start to squeak, so you can either throw out a toner before its time or endure horrific auditory attacks. (read more)

We have had this HP Printer for comingupto 2-2.5 yrs. Have found it good initially, but print quality has declined especially colour..the cartidges need replacing every 2.5-3months and the cartridges are expensive! It is slow when printing, jams up easily; & always when switched on needs configuration. The plus side is that its small enough for a small home office, but we think we'll be getting rid of this one very soon!
Am looking now for a fast,efficient, colour printer that dosent... (read more)

Worst printer I have ever used.
So many problems.
Prints jamming, rollers squeaking, not booting up.
HP have sent 3 replacements in the last 6 months but I am still experiencing problems.
The print quality when it does actually print is very good, however it is very slow and the ink runs out frequently.
Before I purchased I would have liked to have know about the speed, or lack of. Also, it seems to only work with the highest quality ink cartriges so has not worked out very cost effective.

To improve the print speed enormously, put in the extra memory but don't pay £450 for HP 9121A 128k memory chipl. There is compatible memory available at only approximately £38 for 128k chip which works fine. Search Google for the HP part number "HP 128k memory 9121A" and all your problems are over.
Well recommend HP LaserJet 2605DN printer. (read more)

I've only recently purchased the HP LaserJet 2605DN but so far I can tell this will be a product that I will be long term happy with, for the cost it has amazing build quality therefore its awesome value. I deffinatly recommend this HP Printer as the reliability of it is not only so raved about but for the price and build quality you can go wrong. One thing, is the colour printing speed, for the cheap cost the this printer it's nothing to moan about1 (read more)
