Good Points: Superb picture quality, very good in varying light conditions and has useful still imaging facilities. Menu system is easy to use though a little contrived (see bad points). Well balanced camera lots of artistic facilities and nice presentation.
Bad Points: Bluetooth seems to be an absolute waste of time - don't know anyone with this camera that actually uses it and feel a little cheated that I have paid for it. Different menu systems - both on camera and on touch screen - would be nice to consolidate both menus to a single interface. No night shot, tape drive is a little noisy. The battery it is supplied with dissipates quickly.
General comments: Had the Sony DCR-TRV950 for a few weeks now and although the picture quality is stunning I find that even slight editing is better handled through the PC as the on camera editing facilities are a little confusing. I like the time lapse (interval recording) idea, but would have been nice if there was a smoother frame transisition. A nice camera - very high res (520 lines) good colour correction, and automatic exposure. Nice amount of extras for this camera too such as the lenses, filters mics etc.
