Good Points: I finally got my bike back, filthy and a with cracked wind screen, but I got it back

Bad Points: Very poor customer service and didn't receive accurate information. The level of service provided was not worth the money paid.

General comments: I dropped my GS off at Garden State BMW, Ledgewood NJ for 24K service on Saturday 3/5/05, I got it back Friday 3/25/05 (20 days). I was promised by the service manager that the bike would be complete on Thursday 3/10/05. After inquiring as to the status, I was informed that it was not complete and I was told a few more days. I called back again and was told that they broke part of the rear brake (I do realize accidents happen) and I was again told a few more days. The part did come in and I asked for the scheduled completion date = a few more days. It was put on the bike three days later so I went and picked up the bike the following day and was handed a bill $150.00 higher than what I was quoted upfront. Also, they weren't going to give me the 15% discount on parts & labor that I was entitled too as posted on their information board for bringing it in for service before 3/15/05. I had to prompt the service manager to give me the discount. On the ride home I noticed a crack in the wind screen that wasn't there when I dropped it of. BMW is a high end, quality product and it's a shame that Garden State is allowed to diminish those high standards that BMW has rightfully achieved. Because of my experience there I know of four customers that will no longer be doing business with them. Garden State BMW could benefit with some staff training in the customer service, accountability and communication areas...Good luck !
