  I thought I was going mad. After a using the Camping Gaz Portable Toilet just a few times in the first year, this year, I too have had an unexplained leak on the floor of my tent, and I too accused the other members of my family ( males) of missing.
  I finally spotted the offending leak, and yep you got it, right at the point of pulling the valve. Grrrr. Very annoying, I've been bragging to my friends how convenient it was. Not so sure now, its not pleasant to clean. Thankyou to this website for reassuring me I'm not alone.

  The Camping Gaz Portable Toilet is bulky, it leaks from trap door slider onto the floor, the flush dont hit the front of the pan, its heavy, the emptying is tricky, the materials used are cheap and nasty, it is way over priced. Buy a thetford, DONT WATSE YOUR MONEY.

  So everyone else is having the same problem with the Camping Gaz Portable Toilet! This toillet definitaly leaks from the pull out valve. I had to keep washing the mat that I put under it as it smelled....not the highlight of my holiday! We used it for 2 years, the first year, I wasn't sure if it was the boys missing the pan! This year I think I'll go for a cheaper model maybe the kampa khazi.

  Bad design fault with this camoing gaz portable toilet- as stated on previous reviews, the sliding valve between the pan and holding tank allows urine (and other unmentionables) to run down the front of the toilet, via the sliding valve handle. During our latest holiday in a campervan, the toilet compartment became almost unbearable to use due to the smell of stale urine leaking down and contaminating the loo compartment floor.   Camping Gaz Portable Toilet is compact and stable. It leaks!!!! The gate valve that you pull out is a very bad design in that it cracks at the entrance allowing a steady trickle to escape. They need to go back to the drawing board with this and redisgn the escape valve that allows contents through to the reservoir tank. Not a cheap bit of kit but from Campingaz you expect far better quality.

  We (2 adults and a 3 year old girl) managed to use this toilet for a grand total of 2 days before bits started breaking off and it leaked everywhere. The pull out trap handle is made from really poor quality material and snapped off on the second day of use after my husband caught it lightly with his leg. I'm aware that with camping there comes a certain amount of compromise but these toilets aren't that cheap and i expect a better quality for my pennies, so come on Campingaz sort out your facil ...

  I think tat the Camping Gaz Portable toilet has a design fault and leaks from gate valve handle joint. Don't buy this product until this problem solved.
