Have had my Matrix 1.6 Auto for 8 years and minimal problems so far although have done only 35000 miles. Very comfortable for a 5ft older lady, good driving position and rear visibility pretty good. Loads of legroom all round for much taller people and the boot capacity good. I like the low sill for loading up, saving me heaving items 'up and over'. Not the most exciting of vehicles to drive, and I have had and/or driven many but, no nasty surprises either and, the long warranty is a plus. ... (read more)

I think a more appropriate name for the Matrix is a Tardis. It looks compact and odd on the outside but is fantastically proportioned and surprisingly eyecatching on the inside. I've only just got mine but so far I'm sooooo impressed I can't praise it enough. Perfect as a family car but equally as good for the school run !!! And ....
