Just found out for the second time that Dencover will not pay my fees. Despite being an emergency root canal they claimed due to having work on the tooth (a filling 4 years ago) they would not pay. Not sure what annoyed me more the fact they won't pay or the fact they can't even be bothered to investigate themselves. I have recently made a claim with Dencover for a check up, filling and I had a crown re-cemented. I downloaded a claim form, my dentist signed it and stamped it, I posted it along with the receipts. A week later they wrote to me saying they needed my last 2 years dental information, so I went back to my dentist and posted them on to them. Having been with DENCOVOR for over 4 years without a claim apart from the usual chack-ups / scale & polish I recently made a claim for a CROWN as I was told this was urgent by my dentist. I received a letter back from DENCOVER requesting a 5 year history. I contacted my dentist past / present and requested the records be sent to DENCOVER which they received. We were with this company for over 2 years. Initailly communications regarding claims were straightforward and the staff were helpful. Over the past year however they have started to "nit pick" every claim. eg asking dentist to fill in and stamp form even though I submitted receipts and detailed dental records, even for simple exams and scales ( I personally have never claimed for anything other than this) .They looked for whatever way they could to wriggle out of a recent claim.
