Seriously, don't even bother. They might be cheap initially but the time they waste through incompetency means you actually end up spending more. (read more)

Thanks for this review. I'm about to renew my home insurance and got a very competitive quote from Quoteline Direct Home via Go compare. Won't be using these guys !!!

“Avoid at all costs”

Quoteline direct home insurance are the most unprofessional company I've dealt with. I've lost so much money on the amount of phone calls I've made visa their 0844 number making a claim. The claim is still out standing over 4 weeks and Ive had to pay their contracters a further £300 to fix my broken boiler and they still haven't. (read more)

QUOTELINE DIRECT - EMERGENCY COVER WE TOOK OUT, COVERS DRAINS, BOILERS ETC ETC, EMERGENCY IS WHEN YOU CAN RUN WATER DOWN A BLOCKED PIPE, AND AN EMERGENCY IS WHEN THE HEATING WONT WORK FOR A SHOWER OR THE RADIATOR IS LEAKING THROUGH YOUR CEILING UPSTAIRS. I WAS INFORMED THAT HEATING IF IT BREAKS DOWN IN THE SUMMER IS NOT AN EMERGENCY - AS YOU DONT REQUIRE HEATING AT THAT INSTANCE. “I too have recently learned of the hidden cancellation...”

I too have recently learned of the hidden cancellation costs of this company; and now I have little option but to retain my home insurance with them until it expires in a further 10 months even though I can get similar policy for 32% cheaper!
I advice everyone to read all small print when taking out any policies1
(But I must say that the young man on the phome who took the brunt of my anger was very helpful and polite and after all he was only doing his job!) (read more)

“I was charged £76.96 to cancel my Quoteline Direct...”

I was charged £76.96 to cancel my Quoteline Direct home contents insurance policy after 6 and a half months into the year long agreement. I expected to pay £30ish pounds in total to cancel but this was ridiculous. Beware when using this company of these charges in this situation. (read more)
