“Horrible customer care”

I have insured my car online, they accept my form and accept the payment. On first month they cancelled my policy. Even they didn't inform me. Once I try to call them , I was on line for half an hour. Still I could not contact them.finally they refused the refund of the direct debit for the coming month. You will get a very quick answer if ringing to arrange or renew an insurance policy. However, try contacting Customer Service and you will end up in a never ending queue. I needed to amend my policy because of a change of vehicle and I spent ages, at the dealership, trying to get hold of someone to effect the policy change. “Insurance cancellation problems - excessive hidden costs”

Avoid using this broking company at all costs. I'm moving home, so just contacted Quoteline Direct to change my policy and was horrified to to be told there are hidden cancellation costs of £131 if I take out a new policy with them and £224 if I don't. Or I could change the address on my current policy and they would only charge me four times the going rate - £330 for 6 months, when moneysupermarket is quoting £150 for 12 months. “Terrible customer service”

After all the storms we have had recently we found the need to make an insurance claim due to roof damage. The 24 hour helpline is a joke as all they do is take a phone number from you and say "someone will call you tomorrow". This is not want you want to hear in an emergency when rain water is gradually filling your bedroom. We had spent two weeks searching for a replacement for our longstanding Buildings/Contents policy with Swintons where the premium kept going up and up despite 15 years with no claim, and it was very hard to decide. Was cold called by this company following a search on a comparison site for buildings and contents insurance. The quote seemd fair to begin with but when I received the policey documents I realised that the cover was far less than with my current provider for minimal saving. Quoteline direct home insurance are the most unprofessional company I've dealt with. I've lost so much money on the amount of phone calls I've made visa their 0844 number making a claim. The claim is still out standing over 4 weeks and Ive had to pay their contracters a further £300 to fix my broken boiler and they still haven't. … Read Full Review

“I too have recently learned of the hidden cancellation...”

I too have recently learned of the hidden cancellation costs of this company; and now I have little option but to retain my home insurance with them until it expires in a further 10 months even though I can get similar policy for 32% cheaper!
I advice everyone to read all small print when taking out any policies1
