    I have just recived a letter saying that the cheque for my car (deemed a total loss) has after the excess has been deducted been used to pay my premium, so southern rock have paid themselves a settlement with my money now i do not have a car no money to get one, as the lady on the phone has told me (small print basically) nothing i can do, but the guy who went through and set up my claim at the begging said that they would send ME a cheque, he never said nothing to me about this! THIS COMPANY IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SCAM ARTIST GOING, i would advise anyone who reads this to go elsewhere no matter how cheap they may seem.

    Took out the insurance for my son as cheapest available. When we changed his car we needed to cancel the policy- such a hassle,couldn't contact anyone, still haven't received my refund and it's over 2 months (they owe me £1700). email is the only means of contact and they don't respond! I wouldn't recommend this company as straight forward admin is a nightmare - would hate to think what would happen if we needed to make a claim .Still waiting for my money - yet they were quick enough to ta ...

    No telephone number, you can ony contact them by email to which they never reply, or when they do it is a generic email. They owe me £272 which I cant contact them to get which meens I will be taking legal action against them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had a broken widscreen, it was so much hastle to arrange through insurance as I could only email them I sorted it out myself at my own cost! I know its cheep, but trust me, it aint worth the few quid youll save.

    I have been driving and insuring for a number of year and never have I ran across such a crap insurer - trust me stay well clear from southern rock car insurance - if you do insure with them and ned to claim you will regret it - they never respond !

    Very very disappointed in the service provided by Southern Rock, £1.00 per minute to contact them, very slow in responding to emails but mainly after cancelling my policy on 20th July i paid the insurance in full on the 28th July they took all the money and did not inform me that i was no longer insured.
    Unsatisfied customer still trying to get her money back.

    organised Southern Rock Car Insurance through ecar insurance,didnt know they cancelled my policy no letters e-mails or phone calls, crashed my car my fault and was advised by the police there was no insurance on this vehicle, so not only do I have no car,400 per month to pay for car,ill probably lose my liscence and job through this unbelievable company STAY WELL CLEAR

    I applied for Insurance with ASDA ONLINE EXCLUSIVE![SOUTHERN ROCKS]What terrible communication!!Nobody e-mails ,with answers!Their messed me about , so, my time was up to cancel my policy.Then, their wanted £50 off me to cancel it.I have sent a letter of complaint!!I would never reccomend this company to anybody!!"I could go on and on!!

    Poor communication from southern rock car insurance, tried to raise premium mid term quoting i had the incorrect type of no claims discount???? apparently my last car wasn;t the correct type of car to have NCD Terrible, terrible,terrible

    I was involved in an accident 7 weeks ago and have only just received a settlement figure, which is way below a like for like replacement. Southern Rock Car Insurance have also overcharged on the excess amount and continuously stated they had received my documents which were forwarded by my claims people. I'm still waiting for a a response to my disputed amount and overcharge on the excess.

    I found Southern Rock Car Insurance very difficult to get hold of, was in a queing system for 25 mins on thier phone lines, emailed twice and still not recieved a phone call. Would never use again

    Bad communication. Accident in July 2008 - Court papers issued by other party and at this time Jan 2009 I can not get any advice or contact with The Claims Service or Eldon Services who are dealing with this claims on behalf of Southern Rock.

    This is my second year with this company, and in all probability my last. A non-fault accident last year, paid out within about eight weeks, apart from the excess, which took ten months! They, or 'The Claims Service', were chasing the wrong third party insures for five months, then claimed not to have received the required paperwork from me on three occasions.     I have run out of my insurance on the 1/Sep/08. Normally couple of weeks prior to expiration of your policy, your insurance company writes to you, telling you about that and also giving you a new quote. They haven't even bothered to do so. Only today the 7th I realised the insurance I had has finished. I could end up in court because of that.     I took out car insurance with them individually, paid £89 for 1st 3 months cover. Cancelled my policy the next day as my partner could get it cheaper as second named on his insurance (also with them). They refunded me £10.93 ( £50 admin fee, £25 cancellation fee) even though I was still to remain with them! I was stunned with these charges... and all this took over 1 month to confirm!     Southern Rock Car Insurance has to be the worst car insurance in the world!!! I put a claim in at the beginning on March 2008 as my car broken into my window was smashed and my car bonnet was damaged!!
