Good Points: Very stylish and orignally shot. Really looks like a series of photos. Thought I'd be bored to death by Shakespeare, but I wasn't at all.

Bad Points: Picture's a bit ropey in places, and all the colors and post production tricks get a bit on your nerves after a while.

General comments: Liked Hamlet overall. Could do with a few more locations to give it a bit of pazzaz but it's got lots going for it. Particularly liked the Ghost and the way he's just hovering around all the time watching them all. There's an overall aura of a ghost story running all the way through you always feel something's going to happen, very suspenseful. Don't know much about Shakespeare but most of the lines are very understandable and it wasn't heavy to watch. There's a booklet with the DVD which gives you the overall storyline, that helped a bit. Would recommend giving it the once over - if nothing else because the next time a Shakespeare snob comes up to in a bar you'll have something to counter with!
