Terrible expierience, ordered online to have my order confirmed. Money was taken from my account waited over a week for item to be sent for collection to store. Received notification to say it was ready for collection to have another email 2 mins later saying it wasn't available??????????????? Clearly reading previous reviews they like selling items they have no stock of. Am still waiting for my refund after 3 weeks and numerous phonecalls. Terrible company avoid!!!!!!!… Read Full Review

I odered a toy for a birthday present and unfortunately the time clashes with so called black friday It was dispatched immediately but the courier could not deliver after tracking the parcel with no movement for days I emailed and asked to cancel and started looking for the item to be collected I had a call from customer service and it was arranged for me to collect the item from a store within travelling distance. Went into store to buy Lego for my grandson , manager at Kings lynn told me not in stock in store but can get in for you in 2 days ! So waiting line to pay at till and once pay was told its in stock be there in 2 day , recived email stating the order confirmed after 1 day , day 2 email to say order cancelled !! 3 day I would revive a refund as not in stock in uk why take my money then tell me no stock ? Well what can i say... Ordered, no conformation email or dispatch email. Called and guess what I spoke to the same advisor every time I called . Strange! First time I called ' sorry phone lines are down call back in half and hour' is what I was told! I phoned back in half an hour.... I was told the order had been dispatched but there was a delay. After buying a number of items in store, was offered a free delivery service with a promise that, they would be delivered in the next three to five working days, On the morning of the fifth day phoned the store to confirm a time, as the goods were needed for the following day, as we could not get an answer from the store, we phoned customer service where they have told us they are still waiting to be dispatched from the depot. If i was able to give no stars on this review i would!! I ordered a toy for my son after receiving an email claiming that this toy had come in stock. Great i thought....until i received a box with a letter saying the toy was out of stock and any money that had been taken from my account would immediately be repaid. After looking online and checking v tech switch and go item was in stock and was vailable immediately I travelled to the Swindon shop to purchase item on getting to the shop it was not available so my credit card was charged and it was ordered from warehouse for pick up at a later date .after travelling home there was an email waiting to say the order was cancelled and. This would be a ZERO rating if there was that option!. Made an online purchase on oct 30th 2014 of 7 items totalling 59.00 . Very disappointed in this company The Entertainer and I will not be purchasing from them again. Made an order online, received email stating it was ready to collect, traveled to the Sunderland store 7 miles from where I live to collect only to find out my order had been given to somebody else (Friday 05 Sept)! I have ordered in the past and received by gifts no problem. It seems it's when something goes wrong is where the entertainer fails..Big time. If you are thinking of ordering just check their website and try and find out how you contact customer service if something goes wrong...the contact us button doesn't work....go on try it you'll get an undelivered notification....You could always post on their facebook asking for an email that works - they won't give you one. Ordered a play mat with standard delivery (3-5 days) been double that and still not despatched. No communication at all from the Entertainer. Now complained and asked to cancel as was intended as something to take to the in laws this weekend. Will now buy in store at a more reputable business. Got an email next day that the item is shipped - no tracking number nor details of the carrier. Already sent 2 emails to them and no response yet. Went for my first and last visit today at the Leicester store to return a duplicate Christmas present for my daughter. When we explained to the manager that my daughter had two of the same toys for Christmas and we'd like to exchange for something else he informed us that we were two days too late for Christmas returns. “Terrible Customer Service At Maidstone Store”

Visited the Maidstone store to buy my boys Christmas presents in mid November. Almost none of the items I wanted were in stock despite being available on their website. Staff had no idea when or if the items were likely to be available and seemed to have a couldn't care less attitude. I personally cannot fault The Entertainer customer service as they have been fantastic when i had some issues with the courier.
