Very disappointed in this company The Entertainer and I will not be purchasing from them again. Made an order online, received email stating it was ready to collect, traveled to the Sunderland store 7 miles from where I live to collect only to find out my order had been given to somebody else (Friday 05 Sept)! How can an order be given to somebody else when I had to prove who I was give name etc! Staff apologized, told me they had items in stock and would send out to me. “Hope They Go Bust”

“Terrible Customer Service - My Son's Birthday was ruined”

I have ordered in the past and received by gifts no problem. It seems it's when something goes wrong is where the entertainer fails..Big time. If you are thinking of ordering just check their website and try and find out how you contact customer service if something goes wrong...the contact us button doesn't work....go on try it you'll get an undelivered notification....You could always post on their facebook asking for an email that works - they won't give you one. “Don't bother”

Ordered a play mat with standard delivery (3-5 days) been double that and still not despatched. No communication at all from the Entertainer. Now complained and asked to cancel as was intended as something to take to the in laws this weekend. Will now buy in store at a more reputable business. “Item ordered for express delivery - no sign after 10 days”

I have ordered some items online for a birthday present. the express delivery was for £4.99 an dplaced the order 10 days ago. Got an email next day that the item is shipped - no tracking number nor details of the carrier. Already sent 2 emails to them and no response yet. “If I could give zero stars I would! ”

Went for my first and last visit today at the Leicester store to return a duplicate Christmas present for my daughter. When we explained to the manager that my daughter had two of the same toys for Christmas and we'd like to exchange for something else he informed us that we were two days too late for Christmas returns. “Terrible Customer Service At Maidstone Store”

Visited the Maidstone store to buy my boys Christmas presents in mid November. Almost none of the items I wanted were in stock despite being available on their website. Staff had no idea when or if the items were likely to be available and seemed to have a couldn't care less attitude. I personally cannot fault The Entertainer customer service as they have been fantastic when i had some issues with the courier. I admit it did take a while to get through at times (but it is a really busy time of year) The called the courier for me, chased things up, called back when they said they would and replaced my order when the courier advised it was lost. “Useless and spoilt our Xmas”

Really disappointed with Entertainer. Ordered all of the children's Xmas presents online, thinking they would be delivered as advised online. The order had been cancelled and Entertainer forgot to notify me via email. I turned up to one of their shops a week later to find this out. Thinking I was organised for Xmas I now had to start over. “Incompetent!!!! ”

They promise delivery, take your money then cannot provide the items you have paid for. Then have the cheek to tell you that you have to wait 3 to 5 days for your money back!!! Placed an order using the 30 minute click and collect service. After waiting 24 hours I received an e-mail saying that it would be available in 2-4 working days...!!! Rang customer service since I needed the item sooner and got the most unhelpful woman who could not offer any kind of delivery alternative. Do not buy from the Entertainer - their service is a joke. Extremely poor customer service. I purchased two toy mobile phone for my grand children titled 'Discover Sounds' from the Solihull store. The sound they made was so soft as to be inaudible. Despite 3 visits to the shop, one email and two letters to head office, I have not received a satisfactory response. may i ask how the customer service was poor. understandable that the products you brought may have had fault, but does not answer the question on how the customer service is poor. i would like to know due to the reason being that i shop there now and then, and i find that the customer service is decent

Hello, I am very happy to answer your question. The reason I felt the customer service was so poor, is that depicted the fact I was return a toy that was working correctly I was rebutted and passed on. It was only when I emailed the MD that the Entertainer took my complaint seriously and responded. I got the distinct impression that refunding a customers money was seen as a very last option and needed Head Office approval.

Do not use the click and review option, on two occasions now I have tried in vain to order my daughters Christmas present to no avail, the computer systems are not linked to the stores or warehouse. The website shows stock to be available in store, accepted my order, sent through confirmation and confirmation I was able to collect only to receive a blunt cancellation email. “They don't like to refund!”

If you have any problems with anything watch out for their 'no refunds on faulty products after 90 days policy' I believe according to the Sale of Goods Act that a retailer is responsible up to 6 years from date of purchase in England providing they can prove item is faulty (Correct me if I am wrong)I have photos of the faulty item, my receipt and have re-packaged as purchased but they still insist on sending the item back to head office and re-building it to confirm that there is a fault!
