    Good Points: 7kg load very quiet spin


    Bad Points: Drum Bearings gone after 4.5 years spin now extremely noisy. Cost of repairs.


    General comments: After my experience with the LG WM-1480FHD washing machine I will never buy or recommend anyone to buy an LG Product of any kind again. Service call-out £72.50 exorbitant. Repair cost £181. I only paid £374 for the machine.

    Bought it just before I moved to Australia and was delighted with it. It is simple to use, and it gives a good wash with plenty of options, including spin only.

    My LG WM-1480FHD washing machine broke down with a fault to the bottom main electric board. The cost to fix is $400. Couldn't get in touch with LG to get it looked at so had to get a local repair man. The part would take 2 weeks to arrive. It's typical of our disposable society. Will most likely buy another make of machine.

    Bought the LG WM-1480FHD 1.5 years ago.

    Before it goes into spinning for drying it's often having problems - time remaining will be for example 12 minutes, and it will stay like that for 20 minutes and give up.

    When washing jeans in my opinion it is pretty noisey - especially
    because it's sold as a 'whisper-quiet' washing
    machine.
    Obviously opinions about what is loud are personal
    so I put a link to a comparitive movie.

    Helpdesk can exchange the module so it doesn't hang but then ...
