They say a price then put a different figure in the register and say they got it wrong first time. Happened twice now. Followed up on the RRP online after (as signal is poor at the shop) and they have marked up by 20-30%. First time I thought he probably made a genuine mistake. Same guy second time. Never again.

you walk in to shop you get ignored when other customers are in there they're okay until there's problem they blame you for not using the gun right some of there guns have been tampered with pile of rubbish avoid like the plague never use again bunch of idiots stay away

yes i totally agree m8 that big bald headed git keeps threatening a couple of people when there is a problem with an air rifle they say they will get it looked at you could go in the shop the following week it will still be there i think they swap guns round when you say you wan't another one witch is all ready not up to scratch

“Hit and Miss”

Have ordered a few items online and they always arrive, never had a problem. Although i have ordered before the threshold time for sooner deliveries and still had to wait a few extra days - which has been pointless in the end. This is quite common with the orders and very frustrating. The prices and range of products are good. nice variety of gear to browse though. Shame about the delivery times. Also been in the store a couple of times and find it a hit and miss affair. Both times brought an air rifle. 1st time they were willing to give me lots of info on their products to sell , which meant i spent more than my intended budget. Which was fine. The 2nd time was a short response and not very helpful, like trying to get 'blood from a stone' really. Probably because i knew the rifle i wanted (which was a much more expensive model) and they just wanted to get the money and move me on. Wud have been nice to test it first and hear their opinion of the rifle too. (maybe it was time of the month or something lol) I have found a couple of other local stores to use lately so spread my shopping around the three shops.

Right, I was looking for a rifle scope and was in a hurry for it, and the only place I could find that had it in stock and that could deliver next day were Solware. I ordered my rifle scope at a cost £160.49 inclusive of the next day delivery costs and immediately received my order confirmation/invoice. I read in the delivery section that I would received another email within 24 hours to advise me whether the scope was on its way, whether or not my card was declined or if it was out of stock. Well, I waited and I waited and I waited....No email was received and after reading the ridiculous reviews on here, I was concerned!!! I then contacted Solware by phone, and spoke to a helpful assistant who asked what scope I ordered. I advised him of the scope and he said, it had been posted and would be with me by 1pm the next day. I was still a bit dubious at this point as I'd not received any further emails. Well, got to 9am this morning and Royal Mail delivered my item. So, despite the lack of email updates, there's absolutely nothing wrong with Solware, and I'm quite impressed with the service, and would definately use again. Thanks Solware, but sort out your email system to update customers :)

“Very unhelpful ”

I place an order with Solware Ltd for a little product (350gr) I paid £4.50 postage and it has not been delivered... i've contacted the seller, and my local post office to look for it but with no luck... I emailed Solware Ltd asking why, if i paid £4.50 postage was it not sent Recorded (Signed For) which only costs £3.60. I paid almost double to what Solware Ltd claim they sent it just first class (£2.70)... Solware Ltd emailed me back to say nothing about the overcharging of post, only the they will make a claim against Royal Mail who will contact me, in a sense just passing the problem on to me... I really don't like how Amazon paints a very pretty and trustworthy Web site which just seems to be back by corner shops. I think i'll stick to ebay? ".

i purchased online lock codes, on completion of payment i was to rec a link to the program(i did not) now its three days later i do not have my program and i have not rec. any word from solware if you whant what you payed for i say go somewhere else

OFFICIAL RESPONSE Solware Limited Hi after reading the above review we would like to make an official response. Firstly, the customer has failed to mention a crucial fact in his review. He hasn't mentioned that he threaten a member of Solware staff over the telephone hence why the staff member put the phone down. They then re-phoned and stated they would make a bad review - so review above is from that person. Solware as any other retailer will NOT tolerate threats made or abuse to any of its staff. There are ways and means to complain and this is simply not a way to do it. We are very customer service focused and do not like posting on review sites especially as its not giving the other party the opportunity to defend. This review was alerted to us by a online customer and this is an official response by Solware Limited. We wish anyone who reads our statement that we are a friendly bunch and value our customers. But we will not take threats against any of our staff. The alarming point is that the threat was made to Tye who is actually a martial arts expert!!!

“Pay a little more & shop somewhere more friendly”

I ordered a couple of items on a next day delivery. 3 days passed but no delivery or email so i send them 1. They send 1 back saying that i should have received an email saying it will be with me any day now. Any day now? It was meant the next day. I phoned them up & spoke to customer service who were extremeley rude, i asked for a refund & he said" yer fine whatever f*** you, then hung up. I called back & spoke to somone else & they agreed that it was fine to talk like that to a customer,i went mad. They sent me an email confirming the refund of which i said thanks for but sent me one back sugesting that i come & see them in person. Considering i would never do business with them again what would seeing them in person achieve? Maybe it was to intimidate me. SOLWARE LTD is the name

“Great outfit I came to shop from Doncaster for a Air...”

Great outfit I came to shop from Doncaster for a Air Arms TDR .177. I was provided with a cuppa and toast upon arrival!! The guys were excellent they made me feel welcome and comfortable. I was given discount on a MTC Viper scope/bag/pellets/targets and Silencer. I am buying a new pistol for IPAS and will use Solware again I am really pleased to see they are doing well. I would recommend these guys to anybody and I have done on airgunbbs forum. I wish them all the best and hope the airgun range in the shop goes well! Top bananna guys keep up the good work!

Hi I am regular shopper with Solware not sure why they are getting a bashing!! Theres Tye, Carl and James who work there all top lads. I am a regular shooter I use Solware for all my shooting requirements inc Shotgun cartridges/pellets and accessories. I used to use John Knibbs Countrystore & Garlands not anymore! I have been overpaying for years and the guys at Solware offer discounted rates example I purchased a Beretta Silver pigeon 12 bore it was nearly £100 cheaper than Garlands! Solware didn't have it in stock but it was ordered and received within 48 hours! I got a free gunbag and a box of Express cartridges! Everytime I pop in I am alwsy offered a cup of coffee and on my last visit I even had the lads offer my toast!! Now tell me is that bad service!! No it certainly isnt! They do alot for local charities and also help support local gun clubs inc Purley Chase/The Greyhound and Tamworth Shooting Club. THUMBS UP FROM MR BAXTER, ATHERSTONE, CV9

If you're interested in saving a few pounds on a product then maybe this company is for you. If however, you expect the smallest amount of customer service or possibly for orders to be delivered as per their delivery information, then pay the extra few pounds and go with a more reputable and reliable company.

I ordered an item and paid extra for next day delivery. It was 3 weeks before I finally received it. I felt I had to chase up my payment frequently in order for it to be processed. Email responses were sparse, unreliable and a took a longer than their stated 24 hours. On a number of occasions I was informed my item had been shipped, only to be told a few days later when I chased it up, that it had not actually arrived at the warehouse and had would be sent the next day. I was frequently concerned that I would never receive my item.

There may have been issues in delivery, however customer service unresponsive, unreliable and far below satisfactory. The outcome of this experience is that I would not use Solware again. I would pay the extra money and go with another company and pay for standard delivery which I expect would not cost £7 or take 3 weeks.

I'm not sure how this company managed to deliver such glowing results for the first 2 reviewers here as my experience with them highlights a lack of integrity in their order process.

I was looking for a Barnet Lil Sioux bow kit for my sons birthday party so to ensure I ordered from a company that could deliver on time, I called solware on their 0844 number and confirmed over the phone that they had this in stock. I was told that it was no problem, they had 'loads' of them in stock, and was asked to place the order online as that was easier for them.

I placed my order and put a note to say this had to be delivered within 7 days. I didn't hear anything back from them beyond the invoice email. By Wednesday, 3 business days after confirming they had stock, I still hadn't received the bow or any confirmation of dispatch so I emailed their support and received the standard "24hr to respond" mail..by Thursday morning, I hadn't heard back from that email so rather than wait 4 more hours to give them the full 24hrs, I called them (0844) to be told over the phone the item had 'gone ballistic', their importer could not get hold of them, and there was no delivery date. I cancelled the order and ordered from another company.

Luckily I paid on credit card so the 12 days they will have had the funds for won't affect me...but just incase someone else pays on debit, I've put value for money in line with their customer service.

Update : I was given a prompt and full refund following order cancellation however never received a response, apology or any other follow up to my complaint. What I did receive was a request from ReviewCentre to remove this review following a complaint from Solware
