I was stupid enough to buy a car from this garage on finance. This also included a years warranty, i have had nothing but problems with the car and it is currently in their garage due to needing a new head gasket. I know what your thinking! Found a lovely MINI on autotrader at, what appeared to be, a great price. I called to make sure the car was still available as I would be travelling over 100 miles to view it. i bought a car from them recently and as soon as the grease they used to pack the suspension came out the problems started. My honest mechanic said its a typical for tactics for these kind of rouge traders to use every trick in the book to make the car test drive well then later the problems arrive. Bought a car from them about a month ago, terrible. Nothing else to say. They never ring you back when they say they will, which goes for the workshop and sales. Rude and talk down to you when you have a question or a problem. If you have work done at the workshop they will probably lie to you if you dont know much about cars mechanically. Thanks for the reviews as I would have travelled a long way to be ripped off. Too many of these traders on the go. As for the extra cost of mot etc this should be done before car is put up for sale or mentioned on the advert. This is the second time I have checked on line about a garage, found the last one was selling damaged repairables with tampered HPI certificates and had just been raided by the police !!!. Be warned. These people are rip of merchants and fraudsters! I have only had my car 9 months and the car has had nothing but problems! They sold me this car knowing i was 3 months pregnant... i tool the car back to the showroomas it has a year warranty and they are trying to get money out of me. Also i part exchanged my old car for my new one and about 5 months of having the car strood motors called me claiming they had lost the log book for my old car. Bought a car from this company in the summer, since then the car has been in and out of the garage every other week with on going and new problems! The sales part of the company are terrible, quite rude and unpleasant to speak to and such as they other reviews, we got lied to too! This place is a joke! My boyfriend has had 2 cars from here both of which are not fit for purpose. The car has broke down on him 3 times and he has had to call the aa out. I have just spent 2 years taking them to court winning on every hearing and appeal. Now they tell me Strood Motor Company is gone, replaced by the very same Strood Motor Centre, shame because they attended court under false conditions, as I was in court in May and their new company was registered in March, and when the court hear, it will be far more seroius than paying my few thousand pounds back, hell if I'm letting this go.

We drove 50 miles to look at a soft top with a hard top here and they refused to take the roof off or let us take the car out.
The car itself was in a terrible condition, covered in scratches and rust. Thankfully due to their horrific service levels we just walked away - I suggest you save yourself a trip!

funny you should say this, i found this when i bought my car 2 months ago, £400 extra was put on the price for mot and a service, to then be told bring it back in 6 months and it will cost 50 quid!!!, aintgotacluers, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! i am still wating for a part which has now been 6 weeks, after being told 3 days lol, maybe i shuld report them to trading standards and get all my money back plus the cost in calls and fuel to drive up 5 times already......
