Bad Points: Long exposure times needed to let in more light for low light or night shots. Heavier and bulkier to carry than a normal length lens. Sometimes I unknowingly change the setting from AF to manual focus with the tiny switch on the lens barrel. Expensive lens.
General comments: Canon EF-S 10-22MM F/3.5-4.5 USM Lens, (16-36mm equivalent to 35mm), 77mm ring filter size, inner focusing system with focusing cam, switch for auto focus or manual focus on lens barrel, 3.3" x 3.5", 13.6 oz. / 83.5 x 89.8mm, 385g.
An excellent quality super-wide angle lens for the Canon digital SLR including the Digital Rebel family. Cannot get this wide an angle on any fixed lens camera. Favorite lens used by default and a joy to use. Great for shooting architecture, crowded places or in tighter spots to get more spacial effect. I keep a UV filter on to protect the front lens element.
