Good Points: None.
Bad Points: Large fees for poor service. Very poor communication. Constantly fobbed off with excuses. Did not disclose how initial fees/rent would be dealt with. Left me to deal with numerous things that should have been within their remit, and supposedly covered by their fee. Charged fees for services not provided. Gave out details of my property, including on the internet, before I confirmed that I wished property to be rented. The problems continued once tenant in place. Would tell tenant one thing and me another. This list could go on and on.......
General comments: Where do I begin? The list is very long and varying in degree......here are just a few. McKenzie Cairns & Hawkins estate agents did not disclose how initial fees/rent would be dealt with. Would not give me a copy of the Tenancy Contract until I became insistent. Poor service for large fee, and they put in a tenant with pets when I requested they didn't etc. When I decided to move to another agent (my tenant had also experienced numerous problems with McKenzie Cairns & Hawkins), it took two months and endless phone calls, letters etc to get the deposit back.
