Good Points: There are over 1 000 000 clubs to join. Over 500 000 quizzes to take, and it's a good way to hook up with old friends and classmates.

General comments: Facebook has become something that nearly everyone all of a sudden wants. I have had Facebook now for nearly a year. Okay, so it hasn't changed my life in any way- but there are certain points to it that make Facebook a head above the rest. There are other online communication sites such as this, take Twitter for an example. In my experience other sites like Twitter are simply sites trying to become as popular, if not more popular, than Facebook. These other sites will never be even a fraction as popular as Facebook. Here's why:Every day over 40 000 people a day join Facebook. Every year over 100 000 people join.

I have to say that I was a late starter with Facebook and did wonder what all the fuss was about so missed the initial buzz when everyone clammered to sign up for their profiles. However, after being persauded it was great and that I should join the masses and was shown that I could lock down my profile so not all could find me, I have been quite happily messaging and poking people for about six months. I have to say it is a great tool but as with all things, the novelty does wear off and I have ...

I'm astounded that so many of my 'intelligent' friends enjoy such silliness it's like a playground and so many strange applications that are so childish i wonder why facebook got so famous for that's the big question.... maybe there are to many big kids in the world with problems, it's a big place for attention seekers it's just like a big dumb profile with you're picture and details on it ready for some scammer to get hold of it's got to the point where people should socialise in the realwor ...

I thought I'd redress the balance a little, as previous reviewers have praised Facebook but I'm personally not impressed with it.My biggest gripe with Facebook is those applications your friends try to share with you. You know the sort - you get a notification that you're being chased by a zombie, etc. I'm sure that's fun if you're 12, but I'm nearly 39... I'm astounded that so many of my 'intelligent' friends enjoy such silliness, to be honest. These applications quite often trick users into cl ...

I started looking at facebook as part of a uni thesis on the effects of social networking sites on society such as www.facebook.com My study led me to look at a number of other sites, including MySpace, Bebo, faceparty and the very new facemass.co.uk.Social networking is on the up and we seem to spend more and more time online, reading about other people - and perhaps more importantly, telling other people about us - something that facemass.co.uk is looking to capitalise on.facebook's greatest ...

I like how you find people you've not spoke to in ages and I enjoy most of the applications. www.facebook.com is fun.

You always have to invite more people when your adding an application, can be really annoying.

Overall I think Facebook is a great and is a safe place to have fun online. You can do loads of things from sending messages to adding applications. I feel www.facebook.com has been directed at the older generation such as 18+
    www.facebook.com is a great website! ...

Facebook is a social networking site a little like Myspace.com but this website is safer. The reasons why www.facebook.com is a little bit better as if people are not on your friends list they cannot view your whole profile which is good. The site is clean and i have not had spam or seen any hackers on the site. Though the sites features some silly things like buying a person with fake money and other daft little games on the site. If your really looking for some friends then check out the site ...

Well I've just discovered the joys of social networking and I have to say, what a brilliant site! I had a go at My Space when my kids were harping on about it but just found it far too complicated, this site is nice and easy for technological simpletons like me - no fancy customized displays, just a nice, basic looking site.

I recently signed up after a friend recommended it and have since been contacted by people from back in the school days (I'm not even going to tell you how long ago that wa ...

Facebook www.facebook.com is an amazing social networking site where you can keep in touch with friends, get back in touch with old school friends colleagues etc and make new friends. Its possible to add photos, tag friends in photos, send private messages, send public messages (wall messages) join groups and communities, add applications and much more. Unlike myspace its much cleaner, you can't customise it aesthetically in the same way but you can change a lot of privacy setting which is very ...
