Neff 6 burner gas hob: I have had mine for just over 2 years and it has hardly worked as it should, the problem is that the ignition keeps on clicking, day or night, i have resorted to switching the electric supply off and lighting the hob with matches, Neff have virtually replaced every component in the hob twice during the warranty period, but now, 2 months out of the warranty period it has started doing it again. We are speaking to neff to see if they can fix it again for the third time! I'm going to try and find out what my consumer rights are as according to the internet, this seems to be a common problem with the 6 burner hob.

Read the instruction manual - the reason for appliances cutting out may be that they were using an oversized utensil on the front right burner. This will transfer heat to the front right corner of the hob where the electronics are sited and protected by a temperature sensor. Follow the recommendations for pan size and the hob would not cut out.

This Neff T25T8 is not a recommended gas hob from me. What good is a cooker which is fitted with a sensor to cut out all burners if the sensor gets hot. And guess what? The sensor is fitted just below one of the burners. So it is bound to get hot very quickly.

The Neff T25T8 has a electronic safety device whereby all burners cut out when the temperature reached 90 Degrees. The device is fitted very near the front right hand burner. If you use this burner, the device will reach 90 Degrees within about 30 minutes at which point all burners cut out and will not work until the temperature cools down. Surely you would expect cookers to get hot to more than 90 degrees quite easily. So how can you fit this device on a hob and then place it very near one o ...
