Written on: 22/11/2010

Despite careful cleaning the digits and symbols around the control knobs wore away within weeks. Other than that, no complaints until we tried to cook Sunday lunch for 12 and the oven failed spectacularly with flashes and bangs from what seems to be an electrical short circuit in the control panel or thermostat. The cooker is 30 months old. (read more)

Electrolux EKC6047X is very good looking and the nearest you can get to a professional cooker for an everyday kitchen. Hobs exceedingly fast to respond with lots of space for 4 large pans. Main oven quick to pre-heat. Huge glass doors and very effective lighting make it easy to see without opening doors and losing temperature. Grill does exactly what it says on the tin. (read more)

I have just bought this Electrolux EKC6047X and already regretting it. I listened to the sales pitch in the shop. I did ask for grill which can turn on half or full, told this had it .DOESNT. Anyhow first the light in main oven is not working,We checked bulb, it looked ok tryed it in top oven not working, tryed bulb from top in bottom, not working, yet it worked in the top oven. I agree with this review because...I have just purchased this cooker 24hours ago and used it for the first . First fault the oven light in main oven not working(checked bulb) phoned the shop their getting this sorted. I find the grill pan very dangerous to work with, the handle is very fiddley to fit on the pan, it has to be removed while grilling, try fitting that while trying to check whatever grilling (3 burns so far this morning). The wire on the grill pan very flimsly and sausages fall though it. The door cant be closed with the handle on the pan when not in use.
<br/>I stupidly listened to the sales pitch without doing my homework. Sorry I bought this cooker.
