    The Brita Maxtra Filter Cartridge is a big improvement over the classic Brita filters. I'm on my second box of cartridges, and have had no problems with particles in the water. The water tastes great. Easy to use, no need to pre-soak cartridge. Does a good job of removing contaminants. Filter cartridges can be sent in for recycling. Cost seems high.

    The Brita Maxtra Filter Cartridge is a great cartridge better than classic, but unfortunately the particles in my water are a big turn off.
