Good Points: Extremely friendly and helpful crew.
Top guide called Mac.
Excellent food, variety, quality and quantity.
Lovely company.
Bad Points: As stated in other reviews, we missed out on the Nile view except when on Deck, too many boats were moored up alongside us at every stopping point. Kom Ombo was horrendous. Not the temple, which was fantastic. It was the sheer number of boats vying for spots and the fumes that they were kicking out.
The Orchestra is a little tired but what the heck! It doesn't bother me if the towel rail falls off, I've got one at home just like it!
General comments: My wife and I had a marvellous holiday, made extra special by the good company we were in all week and we can't praise Mac, our guide, enough for his help and enthusiasm and for taking us on an interesting wander through the streets of Luxor one evening, away from the tourist areas. I loved the trip, I loved the boat, I loved the heat, 50 degrees Celsius mid week! We've done it before and we'll do it again.

Most bad points apply to all boats on the Nile as it is getting very overcrowded especially going through the lock at Esna. However, still a wonderful holiday with unique scenery and site seeing.- Read Kryz's review (62 words)

I would not recommend the Orchestra Nile Cruise to anyone old or young. The cruise boat is advertised at 5* Deluxe and it is not even 3*, it is old, falling apart, dirty and grubby. The tour guide for Med Hotels is totally unhelpful and the boat manager cannot speak any English at all, so any complaints are pointless.
The itinerary is not the same as that sold and you do not spend any time at all in Luxor.
Med Hotels charged £15 entry fee to Egypt and I know from experience, having ...- Read jamnat1's review (125 words and 1 comment)

The statue representing the Nile is a man covering his eyes. He is facing the church of St. Agnese. Bernini chose this pose to depict his fear that the church, created by his rival, might fall down.
