Good Points: Motor quiet and strong, feels like would last forever. Had mine 6 yrs and been used every day, sometimes more than once a day. Nice sized spout for putting fruit/veg. Comes with good spatula that has a fork end, which is really useful for scraping out pulp. Sturdy heavy unit with non slip feet. Good additional citrus press.
Bad Points: Not easy access in grooves to clean the steel mesh filter. Parts are diswashable but mine seemed to crack, even my lid cracked, have had to replace various parts of mine (costly) several times but since motor is so good, I've not bought new machine. I feel that all the plastic components are not made very strong. Have various other things of theirs and the motors are always excellent but lids seem to crack easily and about £20 to replace.
General comments: For cleaning it, I'd say with 6 yrs constant use that you're better off rinsing it all out as soon as you've used it, this stops any fruit sticking and embedding on the parts. but the steel mesh filter is best off hosed out with hose on jet setting. It'll fire out all the bits and leave you soaked but the filter 'clean'! if you dishwasher it - it will also clean it but it fills the holes on other side of it with dishwasher grot/dirty water so beware when you take it out it'll need another rinse through. Magimix does juice very fast and easily though and is a heavy sturdy unit. The citrus press is super but you have to empty it out every 4 or 5 oranges. I have the chrome and black one and it wipes down and remains smart looking. Doesnt take up too much space. I shall miss it, but have to buy a new juicer now as I refuse to keep replacing the plastic parts. But that motor! It'll go forever...

I had one of these machines a few years ago and just couldn't be bothered to clean it so hardly used (sounds lazy but its rediculas spending 30 minutes cleaning a juicer). Its now in storage and I have bought a basic braun model which I have used far more because its so much easier to clean (about 5 minutes) - though the braun doesn't get out as much juice this isn't a major concern as I'm juicing for one.- Read Guest's review (172 words)

The best machine for juices. Great extractor for fruits and vegs. I think Magimix Le Duo is the number 1 in centrifugal extractors. The only downfall is that it's hard to clean, but for the juice it produces I'm very pleased with it anyway.- Read Guest's review (50 words)

Great sturdy juicer and very easy to use. Excellent shape and design and looks smart in the kitchen. I like experimenting and so far have juiced almost every type of fruit and veg without any problem. I like the fact that I can push whole pears and apples into the feeder without chopping, as well as whole carrots and celery sticks. The juice is always excellent quality and is pure juice with no lumpy bits! I really would recommend it to a anyone who enjoys an easy life and likes to try different ...- Read Eileen7's review (123 words)

if you use the Magimix Le Duo every day like I do and wash it in the dishwasher, you might find the the plastic parts will degrade and break in less than a month like I have. Very disappointed, would recommend that stay away from this product unless you have the time to clean it.- Read mgambarota's review (57 words)

Magimix Le Duo - reviewed at Happy Juicer
The Magimix Le Duo is a centrifugal juicer and should fit on the smallest of kitchen work sufaces as it takes considerably less room on the worktop than the twin gear and single auger juicers.

The Magimix Le Duo XL is one of the slowest centrifugal juicers at 1500 RPM and produces a very thin juice which doesn't separate into layers when left standing.
