Good Points: Great image, easy to configure, excellent low light sensitivity, and good automatic colour balance. Even highly rated for use by astronomers for images of planets and the like.

Bad Points: Could be better to mount on a flat screen or laptop.

General comments: I bought my Philips TOUCAM Pro II web cam secondhand, but have found it so easy to use, and yet with excellent images. It is very easy to configure, and it has a nice design. I have now bought two for various relatives as Christmas presents.

After plugging the Philips TOUCAM PRO II web camera into my Windows XP machine, it was ready for use immediately. So far for the installation. When activating the camera, a red light on the camera shows it's active, no need for guessing here. Excellent picture quality!

This Philips TOUCAM PRO II web camera has the best picture quality of any I've seen. Sound is good too. The instructions and website are poor to none existant however. I couldn't set the sound so it had to go out at "cd" quality with the demands on bandwidth that entails, I found problems adjusting frame rate also. £50 odd pounds is a lot but the quality is there. good hardware let down by bad software and support.
