I have had My 2010 26' mongoose fireball since new. I have looked after it and serviced it well. the fireball is made quite well for the price that it is, i have never had any problems with it, though the brakes do muck up ever now and then. If you are thinking of buying one, I say go for ya life. best bike i've ever owned. (read more)

I found the Mongoose Fireball to be a good value for money. Also it is a good start as you can add new stuff like forks as you go along. if you don't want to do dirt jumps, or any heavy impacting it is a good bike, it has wide handlebars which i found very nice also it comes with nice wide tyres so good grip. I found that the standard parts are not very strong and will break easily if doing heavy ipact work e.g. dirt jumping. (read more)

I bought this bike for my son and I think the excellent frame is spoilt by the standard forks :( Does anyone know of a way to soften them or do I need to find some aftermarket ones? Suntour xcr 50mm forks are way too hard for a light rider with no adjustment, crank is notchy after only a little use and standard wheels need regular straightening :( although the mongoose fireball does have a very good strong frame, nice stem, headset and pedals (read more)
