The graphics in this game are very impressive and if it was the only game you had the addiction level is high. The only problem i have is that the game starts getting a little repetitive , but if u were going to buy it you should. Also there are a few cheats , but they can disable most trophies so only use them if you are desperate. This game is an 18 but if your like 14+ it should be fine. (read more)

Let me start by simply saying that GTA4 is a good game, but is by no means a perfect game. I personally think that giving this game a 10 requires one to overlook several moderate flaws in the games design. With that being said lets begin.

I believe that Rockstars latest outing in GTA 4 is worlds a head of other games in the GTA franchise. The graphics, characters and storyline all make this game the highest of calibres. But what I would say is that even though you can have a girlfriend you cna also have a boyfriend as well. I am not saying this is a bad thing but it could increase the chance of homophobia, my friend the other day said it was despicable that you can have the cance to be gay as it is immoral and wrong. Since getting my PS3 six months ago I have been playing this game none stop, this is one of the best games I have ever played.
Multiplayer can be frustrating at times (e.g. people shooting you for no reason) but the game makes up for it.
Reccomended for hours of fun

Before GTA 4 was about they described it has the best game in the world really, and they said about it and what things you can do while your not in a mission, they lied
it's hard to write a positive review about this game when you so bored of it.
it's set in 2006-2007 or something like that, the cars look modern and a lot of them are based around real ones. There's genuinely hardly anything to do when not in a mission except drive and go out with mates.

just brought this on platium version £15 . i did have this for the xbox 360 what a mug i was after playing gta 4 on a ps3 its miles better in hd on 1080i
i cant belive i rated as good on the 360 section i am ashamed now . the ps3 version is ace and i have found no gliches on this version for this price i am really happy i be buying more games now from play.com . power to the ps3

Criminals are an ugly,cowardly lot more worthy of pity. This is what you'll learn playing through the single-player campaign in Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV.
The series cheered for glorifying violence has taken an unexpected turn: it's gone legit.Oh sure,you'll still blow up cop cars,run down innocent civilians, bang hookers, assist drug dealers and lowlifes and do many, many other bad deeds, but at a cost to main character Niko Bellic's very soul.

The Grand Theft Auto 4 game is true art. I've played all GTA games and they just continue to get better as time follows. I bought the game to play online and it is very entertaining, addictive, and very humorous.
I would highly recommend this game.

This is a game that you take part of a Russian immigrant named niko bellic. He is illegal, im great at that. He came to find the American dream in liberty city. Statues are high up in the sky along with tall wide buildings that are a lot of fun to climb. Remember the building in king kong it is available in this game. I got one word for you.
Well recommend Grand theft auto 4 for the PS3.

I believe this game is great with detail such as graphics, and attention to detail but I feel taking some of the things out what were in the older GTA'S was a bad idea, if I to suggest to someone to buy this game it would be for the online experiance, with that you can have hours of fun playing together or against the others for the glory and respect. Game imposible to complete for me, completing game does not get 100% need to do stupid extras like kill 200 pigions.
Needs more cheats.
Great game could play for a while, and play online too, well recommend GTA 4.

One of the best games I've ever played... a real leap forward in the free roaming rpg genre a small review like this could not hope to scratch the surface of whats possible in this game. You can play for ages and not even bother with the missions.. just go on a mad rampage or drive around in a fire engine spraying people and manically laughing! All I can say is pick up a copy you will not be disappointed and if you are boo-urns to you! (read more)

An unbelievable game - amazing depth and storyline with the sugary coating of slick visuals, great sound effects and a decent soundtrack.
Nothing beats diving out of a car, getting to your feet, pulling out an RPG and annihilating the guy from work who's been chasing you around.

This game is best when played on a HDTV as the graphics are a little blured, though the game has a great unique affect and is the most realistic so far, can leave you walking the streets with a different mind set so be careful, however well recommend GTA 4 for the PS3. (read more)

The best GTA by far, it blows san andreas away, its more realistic but still a gta game through and through. The story is rude and violent and brilliant, the voice acting is top notch and its great to play and just admire the graphical achievements. They may not be the best ever seen on ps3 but for a sandbox game you cant help but wonder how they did it.
Everything has been tweaked for the better, so if your not sure about this game, buy it and I'm sure you will love it.. it draws you in....

Grand Theft Auto 4 for the PS3 was for me unfortunately not what I expected. People are arguing the game has not improved since previous predecessors, I personally would argue the game has fell below the GTA expected standard, instead of improving aspects of the game, there are many points of the gameplay missing. For example the modifying cars, the swimming, helicopters and much more. I personally do not recommend GTA 4 and think there are many people rating this game so highly due to the... (read more)

Not enough weapons like san andreas, not much to do after the game is complete.
The game is a great game for the graphics and the first time experience but after that it plays it self out, I preferred san andreas. Only good point for me is the great graphics I suppose therefore I do not recommend grand theft auto iv.

Grand Theft Auto 4 not a patch on San Andreas sorry. Everyones raving about the graphics but it seems to be dark for three quarters of the game so they cant be appreciated fully. The driving is also annoying cos you cant really build up any speed without losing control or crashing. (read more)

I really cant see what all the fuss is about. Everyone bangs on about the graphics but if you compare them to call of duty then they aren't a patch on them. The gameplay has got worse in terms of sprinting, driving and shooting which is now slow and unresponsive and to be honest its a massive let down for me personally. (read more)

Graphics are one the best I have ever seen for the PS3... the most positive aspect of this game however for me is it's addicting factor.
The game is great thought and I well recommend it... I cant wait to go home and play it more. I'm about to take off of work all next week to play it.

Very realistic game, there are many that argue this game has not been much improved than previous versions. However in my opinion it has, OK its true to say the storyline, characterists and so on are still all developed under the same aspects and roles. But thats because its supposed to be.. Grand Theft Auto 4 is in my opinion not just great graphics, not just murderous action, not just entertaining gameplay... It is all of those things, but GTA 4 is actually cool. GTA iv has managed to actually make this game so cool you will no longer feel embarrassed telling your mates that you spent last night playing a computer game. Personally do not like multiplayer on GTA 4, you get some idiots that do not really know what they are doing and just out there to annoy you. I love the graphics a little dark but I think this adds not only to the realism but the gangster storyline. Love the missions and everything to do with the gameplay. Couldnt fault it and well recommend it for the ps3, much better than for the 360 as far as I am concerned. (read more)

Gameplay is just incredible the entertainment factor is so high. The abilities are pretty much the same as previous versions of the GTA's but the vary in what you can do when you think about is so cool. I mean, you can do absolutely anything you want, its just like real life. I so recommend this GTA iv for the PS3, everyone raves about the graphics but for me they are a little dark and dull, very high detailed but not the best factor of this game in my opinion. Grand Theft auto 4 is a great game, well recommend it for the PS3, yu must get it in my opinion. The graphics are just amazing, I know this has been said numerous times before but I cant stress how impressive the detail of everything is, it adds so much to the realism as it really is possibly the most positive point to the game. The driving view is for me the worst point to make as I find it difficult to see and therefore the driving is not as fun as I think it could be. (read more)

Incredibly detailed world, stunning graphics and near perfect gameplay and as ever a great story which will keep you engaged from start to finish. Plus even if your not interested in going down the story route there are great mini games like darts, bowling, pool and also several mutiplayer games which are also great.
Only had it a day but this is already my favourite game of all time, well recommend Grand theft auto 4!

This is the best game in the world and I think they should make a new GTA game and if they make a new GTA game I think they should make the player get his own job and have a wife and kids and when the player have a kid take the kid to school and things like that and if you need help making a new game comment me.

Only the prototype, the best graphics so far though in my opinion, along with everything else, brillaint detailed guns, grand theft auto 4 cheats are superb, amazing realism, everything! Infact the only bad thing I have to say about gta4 prototype is there are a few glitches but where would we be without them? Still waiting for the real grand theft auto 4 for the ps3. I only have the Prototype and its great i have been using it every day I can't give a great review but I seem to be stumbling on weird glitches and cheats the gangs are amazing I'm not going to tell you any more you will see the rest of the great extras but it is just like real life

Why do you say it is set in Miami? The trailer released earlier this month clearly shows the game set in Liberty City once again.
