Good Points: I just LOVED this movie. Brilliant!
Bad Points: I just wish old Loenidas had spent a bit more time practicing with that spear...
General comments: I will camp outside the shop the night before 300 is released, then have a solid 300 day on the sofa, I'll watch it several times a day until I know it word for word, we will be holidaying in Greece soon so I can visit the site of the battle, my son will be getting the names Leonidas and Spartan somewhere on his birth certificate, enough? No...... in reality these 300 men REALLY changed the course of mankind by preventing the Persian army from world dominance. Not really for ladies, but one hell of a movie!

If you have not seen this film yet then get yourself to the cinema to watch it. DVD will not do it the justice that the big screen can deliver. OK the storyline is basic but I'll be surprised if anyone leaves this film not entertained or impressed by its original visual style.

This movie is truly a defining moment in action movies and movies in general. In the end, I felt as if I was there fighting with them, it totally immersed me in the experience. The character development was incredible and the visuals were amazing. All around it was the best movie I have ever seen. No Joke

If you like comic books, you'll love this. Don't watch it as a blacks versus whites. It's not about that, especially as slavery is such a hot topic at the moment. This film is about freedom, and I think that is something we all can relate to. This film is about fighting for your freedom and what you are prepared to sacrifice for that. But it is mainly about delighting the eye and the ear with visual and audio techniques not used before. I loved it, but as I said, the serpent-like senator should ...

I was very eager to see this film, mainly due to the fact that I loved Sin City. Not just the film or the stories but the way it looked, the way they transformed the graphic novels and put them on to the big screen.
Like Sin City, 300 is taken from one of Frank Miller's graphic novels which in turn was inspired by the film "The 300 Spartans." It is a grown up film for grown ups, it doesn't pull any punches; from the start you are treated to a story of brutality, tradition, honour and down right ...
