“Good but beware `Guest Presenters`”

Radio 2 delights & annoys in equal measure. For every likeable, knowledgeable & down to earth presenter such as Johnny Walker or Bob Harris there is a battallion of others who are very irritating. I can`t bear to listen to Elaine Paige as she is the epitome of a musical theatre luvvie. Lisa Tarbuck is even worse. I`ve never heard anyone mantain such a relentlessly sarcactic & affected tone. “Radio 2 Best Ever”

I have listened for years since Jimmy Young (how long?) and still find it a good overall station for music, features and bits of politics and general knowlege. My fave show is Steve Wrigh's especially the non-stop oldies. There is nowhere else you get to hear them played especially the nineteen sixtys and seventys that is from my era. However I am not keen on his old woman, elvis and barry from watford - they are just too silly for words and a right turnoff. (read more)

Two people really irritate me. Lisa Tarbuck comes across as insincere. I don't find she really really listens to what listeners are saying and often gets words, names wrong and stumbles a bit. The other is Jeremy Vine who comes across as self righteous. Recently he let a woman caller ramble on incoherently about packaging. As she was clearly upset he could have cut her call short as he does when he disagrees with someone but no he let her get increasingly distraught. Did he think this... (read more)

When Jeremy Vine took over for Jimmy Young I though what an excellent choice but nowadays I find he comes across as biased and cuts callers short if he obviously does not agree with them. He also is quite rude and can be heard making the odd sarcastic comment after someone has spoken on the line as he did today when a man had finished on the line. It is so infuriating. Also the show ought to be renamed as he is hardly ever on. However I do enjoy it when others stand in. (read more)

Radio 2 is great, but when Chris evans is on holiday the station must NOT get richard madely to stand in, the man is so unbelievably crap its untrue. Really get's my day off to a bad start, so much so that I have turned the dial to radio 1. (read more)

“Best radio station ever,it has got to have the widest...”

Best radio station ever,it has got to have the widest spectrum of music on it's playlist. Beats commercial stations with their endless half hour loop of the same tracks, annoying commercials and mindless DJs.

Varying DJ styles and programme formats, catering for a wide range of people. Chris Evans in the morning with Moira Stewart for the news is outstanding, people who are put off hime by his stint on Radio 1 should try him out again, he has much improved with age!

I have just switched Ken Bruce off! I got sick of his sexual inuendoes and I'm sick to the back teeth of the comments this morning about the horse thats been given to the queen! I am not a royalist in any way at all, and he obviously isn't! I think he should keep his personal views to himself! I don't know and i don't care, just don't use the position you've got to air your views! I will put Radio 2 back on when he's gone off air. (read more)
