    Good Points: Totally Reliable.


    Bad Points: None so far.


    General comments: The Hoover HW160M is a 1000% improvement on my previous Hoover Washer/Dryer which was a disaster.Whisper quiet and absolutely reliable: has withstood 3 loads per day for 5 years!

    Overall very pleased with the product, not quite up to the standard of the Servis one I had previously and don't think it'll last the 11 years that one did but the larger capacity compensates

    My door hinge broke, but that's my only problem with the machine.

    The Hoover HW160M washing machine has lots of programmes, including quick wash and time saver. Unfortunately, the dryer is not so good.

    The Hoover HW160M has caused me a few problems and I wish I had found this website earlier! I was unfortunate enough to purchase this machine in January 2004 wanting a machine in an emergency and couldn't wait the standard 2 weeks for delivery of my chosen German supplier. What a mistake! My first Hoover appliance and definitely the last! Three calls since January 2004 and I must be lucky reading the other reviews.     Hoover HW160M - DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. Especially if you want to use it more than once a month! I have had one for 13 months and have had around 8 callouts, all sorts of problems from the inlet valve breaking (twice) the motor, the timer, the switch...the list goes on. We only had a one year warranty so I am having to fix it myself and they wouldn't replace it, a complete joke. The repair man told us that the machine was no good for regular use and the first time he came to see us he said it w ...

    Had this washing machine almost a year and had 4 'service incidents', each requiring 2 service visits as spares have been required. Replaced main motor, drier motor, main programmer, drier timer and soap drawer. Concrete fixing bolts also came loose. Now engineer wants to replace the control board and pump motor. Don't see how conditioner dispenser can ever work as overflow is below the top of the siphon. Had enough of this now and have managed to get the supplier to agree to a refund.

    Not impressed with the Hoover HW160M. Had three call-outs in four months. The drying cycle doesn't finish!!! V. frustrating.

    Unfortunately I'm not overly impressed with this Hoover washing machine. Having had it almost a year, I think we have had 6 callouts to date. Mainly being a problem with the main control board, which has endlesly been replaced. On other occassions it would not drain at all, would only spin when it felt like it and would switch to the drying program and go for hours until you returned home from work and turned it off! I am now unsure of the definition of 'automatic'! Hopefully our next callout bo ...
