Water Softeners Ltd gave us a demonstration of the product before we placed an order, which was impressive. His recommended plumber installed it 3 weeks later and made a very neat job. About 2 days after the installation we started to notice the effects of the softener and after a week we had lovely soft water and needed to cut back on the amount of shower gell ! A pleasure to do business with the guys from Hawker Softeners of Tiptree who fitted a new Kinetico 2020c HE Water Softener (which replaced a failing old unit of another make) and what an immediate difference!!! - the water is now far softer and silky to the touch, the washing machine is using less and less detergent and the dishwasher is on the lowest salt setting (IRO hard water) BUT the biggest bonus is that our 3 Bar Power Shower Pump that for 6 months or so had been struggling to fire up... We live in Essex in a very hard water area and have wasted many hours cleaning limescale off the taps and descaling kettles, not to mention the damage done to the innards of our appliances. The imminent arrival of a new bathroom prompted us to do something about it and we were recommended a Kinetico system. We live in a hard water area (Essex) and the difference is amazing! First if you are not sure to water softner or not... We hardly use any shampoo, hand soap, bubble bath etc since we have had the softner fitted. The water is silky smooth and actually feels much better on your skin. None of our new appliances have got any limescale (just to put this in context we had a new kettle and within 4 uses we already had scale previously). Never had a water softener before and am amazed at the difference it makes to so many things, brilliant for my excema condition, no more limescale problems and the water is so soft. The advisor Hawkersoftners was efficient and very knowledgeable and would not hesitate recommending. We appreicated the difference when showering almost immediately and electrical and bathroom fittings are now not coated in limescale. (read more)

had this installed into our new house from Watercare softeners Ltd in Twickenham, as a very hard water area. softened water very quickly and was noticeably different. a bit more expensive than i had originally thought, but the demonstration and installation were good and customer service was prompt. overall happy. do find that water is very soft and that takes some getting used to for washing up and bathing as its gets very slippery with small children, could be that i just need to get used... “A replacement softener”

We had an old softener which had broken, so phoned around and got the best deal for a replacement from Watercare Softeners Ltd. An extensive trawl of the web suggested that the Kinetico 2020c would be the best softener for our house. Watercare removed the old softener and did the necessary alterations to the pipework to install the new, much more compact softener. They were very efficient and did a good job. I’ve been living in my local area for 6 years and confess that never got to used to this hard water herein supplied. “Just the job”

Supplied and fitted by our local supplier and plumber, this is a great water softener. It does exactly what it should in a quiet and unobtrusive way. So much so that you do need to remind yourself to refill the salt as it's easy to forget the softener is there and doing it's job. On the down side the salt could be cheaper but overall it's doing exactly what it was bought for. (read more)

I got a Kinetico 2020C water softner installed through Watercare Softeners Ltd. Their sales manager explained the usage and most appropriate set up for us (i.e. avoid connecting the kitchen sink pipe to the softner output). Their installation was quick and good. This water softner, supplied by R C Owen & Company in Wellington, Shropshire, is not cheap but, with my limited use so far, seems very effective and worth it. It is very compact and looks to be hassle free. I can certainly see the difference with the shower screen already. The supplier was very helpful and efficient and I was very impressed with his service. I moved into a new house in a hard water area about 4 years ago, and decided that I needed something to tackle the limescale before any of my pipes started to fur up. A friend of mine recommended a Kinetico 2020C from Dolphin Water Softeners of Tetbury. I must admit I really didn't understand the technology, but it sounded much better and straightforward than those magnetic or electronic systems. “Be aware!”

I have just cancelled our order for a Kinetico water softener after being misled by the Kinetico sales team. I can't comment on the performance of their products but their sales team use misleading selling tactics . My advice - do not be misled into thinking that the price indication they are giving you is for a 2020c ...... it is likely to be for a lower spec model! (read more)

We’re very sorry to hear that you feel you have been misled by Kinetico.
As we don't sell our products directly, we are only able to advise of the recommended retail price of our range of products - from £800 to £1,600. This quoted price range represents all our water softener models, not just the 2020c. Where a 2020c specifically is under discussion, we advise a RRP of £1,330 (not including installation).
The actual purchase price of Kinetico softeners can only be quoted by an Authorised Kinetico Dealer, who is best placed to evaluate your property, recommend the most suitable softener for your needs, install and provide after-sales service.
At Kinetico we take any complaints very seriously and would ask that you contact us so we can discuss your issue and remedy any concerns you may have - either with Kinetico or with our dealer network.

I am extremely pleased with the water softener system installed by Hawker Softeners Ltd. The installation was smooth and efficient and the service polite and friendly. Now I do not have white limescale deposits and my eczema has improved in leaps and bounds by using soft water. I love the fact I do not have to use as much detergent for washing and no need for fabric conditioner. All in all a win win situation. If you are thinking of purchasing one just go for it! If you live in the Hertfordshire Area im sure you know about the water quality that we have to deal with on a daily basis. Did some reserch to alleviate this problem. No contest on choosing brand of water softener as our previous Kinetico lasted 25 years. We have a combi-boiler so the high flow version Kinetico 2020C was installed by Watercare Softeners Ltd a few weeks ago. This company provided an excellent straight forward, helpful and efficient service. The softener appears economical with salt use so far. (read more)

Purchased in September 2012 from JM softeners. The unit was fitted promptly by JM Softeners and works very well and quietly. We noticed the benefit within about a week once the softened water had worked its way through our system. Suggest also installing a metal cover in the base of the kitchen unit where the softener is to be located to protect the wooden floor of the unit from any potential condensation from the softener. The water softener I got was the Kinetico 2020c supplied by Watercare Softeners Ltd. I researched around and this seems to be one of the more professional ones. All it's features including non electrical, auto regeneration and size makes it really worthwhile. It's not cheap but its not super expensive either considering if you use it for say 10 years (parts guaranteed for that period) it works out to be good value. It definitely great quality. I purchased this softener from Total Soft Water, Milford / Knaphill. It needs no electricity to function so has no running costs.There was no pressure to purchase just up front friendly advice with the demonstration. I live in a very hard water area and I wish I had purchased this years ago. All the limescale has disappeared and the water is beautifully soft so less shampoo, washing and cleaning products are needed.It's very easy to load the salt blocks which I purchased on-line in bulk with... My Kinetico 2020c was supplied by Klearwater Systems in Frome, Wiltshire. It has performed perfectly since purchase in June 2011, and the back up provided by Mick Longhurst of Klearwater Systems has been perfect. I fitted it myself. After five years of excellent results in our last home,it's was high on our priority list to have a 2020c fitted in the new abode..The machine is electric free,easily fits under the sink and most of all easily controlled. Cheap to run, we replaced the salt blocks every 7to 8 weeks at the small cost of £5 . After putting up with the lime deposits from hard water for years the soft water from our new kineticico 2020c is a real boon. Although we have only had it for a few weeks our home appiances and our skin and hair care have markedly improved. We have not had a water softener before, however this one ticks all the boxes. After searching for ages to fine a water softner a friend recommended Hawker Softeners of Tiptree. The site visit was prompt the advice very thorough and the installation completed the very next day. Two weeks later we are seeing the benefits of far less detergent, shampoo powders and the like and are very pleased. The unit itself is very compact and fits beautifully in our kitchen unit. “Lousy After Sale Service!!”

The water softener runs fine, but it took a grand total of 6 whole weeks to finally get an appointment time scheduled to replace the drinking water filters! After a lot of phone calls the date was set, and then we received a call on the set date, saying the date was mixed up and it would be another day ! You're running a business here....how about a little organized professionalism? Let's see if the tech. actually shows up! Frustrating!!!! (read more)

After much debate we are pleased with our decision to install a water softener. The water in our sinks, bath and shower is noticeably softer. In addition, after just 3 weeks, the limescale build up which has been round plug holes etc. for years, is going without any further cleaning. And I think the grouting in the shower cubical is looking cleaner without further bleaching. I hope the scale build up in the hot water tank is diminishing as promised. I have limited space so contacted JM Softeners Ltd in Pangbourne, Berks for advice as I had purchased a softener for a previous house some years ago from them. They surveyed,quoted and fitted this unit within 3 weeks. It is compact,has a front opening so doesnt need much headroom and is easily accessed and take salt blocks which are easier to store than hefty bags of salt tablets. So far it has used 2 blocks in 6 weeks which is very economic. (read more)

“Early days but fantastic”

Our Kinetico 2020C has only been installed for a fortnight and we are very impressed and cannot believe the difference already. We had a timer controlled system (by a different manufacturer) in our old house and it was never as effective as this one. The unit is really neat and, unbelievably, runs without electricity. Had a Kinetico 2020c fitted about 6 weeks ago and we have already noticed a difference to the lack of build up of limescale. My wife use to suffer (especially in winter) from dry cracking skin to her hands, since we have had it fitted she has had no issues. It fits under the sink nice and easy and the fitting only took a few hours. We got ours from Total Soft Water (Hitchin, Herts) who were excellent when it came to explaining how it worked. Excellent Water Softner. Makes a lot of difference, fits easily below the sink. No limescale marks on the taps, shower so less cleaning. Kinetico is duplex compared to Harveys which are single. Plus the water flow is fast, so no difference in pressure. Highly recommended. (read more)

We installed a KInetico water softener at our office a couple of years ago. At the time it seemed like a lot of money and we questioned whether it would be worth it. But now we would not be without it. Staff always say the water is lovely and soft. Washing is a pleasure as you gets lots of lovely bubbles and shampoos and shower gels go much further. My wife and I live in an area with very hard water, so a water softener is a MUST. Soft water is a delight to wash and shower with. We also find that our appliances such as washing machine, dishwasher etc. last much longer than average, so there's a real saving too. We purchased our Kinetico Block Salt Softener in April 2000 from Quality Water Systems, Hemel Hempstead. Mr Hawker came to assess the feasibility of supplying a water softener. They were extremely helpful, courteous, came when they said they would and installed it the following week. We feel that we will be able to contact them at any time should it be necessary knowing that they will deal with any problems quickly.
