Extremely rich and tasty. You can tell that only the finest cuts of beef have been carefully selected for this steak. I would recommend it to anyone. The gravy is simply divine! I've even started using it on other meals such as my Sunday roasts too. I strongly advise nay sayers to give this product another chance as you are sadly mistaken! (read more)

Having eaten Princes Stewed Steak for more than 40 years, I have always liked the product until now. My latest meat pie was ruined by a change in their recipe to include Onion Powder. I am totally allergic to onion and was physically sick for over 2 hours because of this. Their is nothing on the labeling to indicate that the recipe had changed, therefore no need for me to check the ingredients. When I complained to them about this, their reply was totally inadequate and uncaring. So... (read more)

This steak used to be one of the best but the quality has been getting worse. A recent purchase from Sainsbury's resulted in me having to throw the contents away as it was disgusting. 15% gristle and what looked like offal, even the cat would not touch it and why they use excessive amounts of tomato is beyond me. I returned the empty tin,(as suggested on the label if you were not satisfied), 2 weeks ago as have not even had a letter the curtousy of an acknowlegment. Never again! Bring back... (read more)

The only way I eat Princes Stewed steak is by mixing it with a tomato based sauce, and having it with pasta. Weird, I know, but it tastes delicious. I would never, however, consider eating it by itself. Not a quality meal. It is one of the best brands of stewed steak. (read more)

Princes Stewed Steak In Gravy has lots of tender meaty chunks and very tasty. I'm unable to give this to my family any more as it contains wheat flour instead of cornflour and is therefore bad for anyone with a wheat intolerance, eg coeliacs - and I have a daughter who is coeliac. I'd like them to change from wheat flour to cornflour which is easier to digest. (read more)

Princes Stewed Steak In Gravy is a nice tinned steak from Princes, good size chunk that don't go mushy with only a little fat and just the right amount of gravy. Enough in a tin to feed 2 people. (read more)

As a high protein meal I can eat it hot or cold (I prefer it cold). It's good solid food and very good value for money.
As a student this was a staple. From my experience, people who don't like this product are usually not happy with anything other than a bag of greasy chips and wouldn't know good food if it bit them on the behind! (read more)

Princes Stewed Steak In Gravy is disgusting. I have taken out half the amount of the 15% extra free, and it was just fat, and I have just wasted a tin of beans, as I mixed it in with the Stewed Steak.
I will never buy anything from Princes again. (read more)

Princes Steak in Gravy is great, I use it in Casseroles and such like and you would never know that the steak came out of a tin as it is very tender and tasty.
The gravy flavour is also really nice, but do not add salt when cooking or it would definitely be far too salty.
I recommend that next time you are doing a beef casserole and dumplings you give it a whirl!
Great value for money and very tasty indeed! (read more)
