I visited the seven springs pub with my two daughters, the tables were not cleaned properly and whilst waiting for the food I removed three wasps and there was flys. When the food came my dahghter found a hair in her meal, then my other daughter found an eyelash, we complained but only offered a replacement meal and no other apology. I will not be going back there again.

Great overall service from a lovely waiter. Really nice food and a great choice of sides. The prices where really good value for money and the atmosphere was fine.

We stopped at this hungry horse on 17/01/2013 for lunch. My wife and I both ordered medium steaks. Alarm bells started ringing when both dishes came out in 5 minutes. The chips, mushrooms and peas were cold and the steak was very rare. It was sat in a puddle of blood showing it obviously wasn't rested. I complained and he meal was taken away and returned 5 minutes later. Chips etc were still cold and the steak was still rare (albeit slightly warmer). I can only assume it is cooked in some sort of microwave?? I complained again and asked for a refund. I was refunded with no issue. Customer service is good, but honestly, the food is a disgrace. They weren't even busy, we were the only ones there!

This is notbistro or restaurant level but the place for a really good value meal.Had the sunday roast at five pounds and everthing cooked fine and meat tender only fault was a little too salty for my taste. Not too noisy even tho half tables were children.

Had the misfortune to stop at the hungry horse for lunch. A full car park looked promising but I can only assume this was because the owners were eating elsewhere. While our food arrived soon enough it was the worst example of quantity over quality. Chicken was overcooked and a sizzling plate was so hot it promptly set about burning all other items an plate to a cinder. Seasonings went as far as ketchup, cheese and vinegar. Easily the worst plate of food I've eaten in the last 5 years. Would have been better off buying a choccie bar and donating the 16 quid I paid for 2 main courses to charity.

At the Hungry Horse I experienced good size portions, efficient service, great outside play ground for small children!
Great family pub and delicious food would recommend!

I don't recommend ordering the steak. We visited 19.07.08 for a steak meal and its the worse bit of steak I have tried. Sirlion seemed more like a bit of old rump. I had to leave most of it for fear of chewing all evening! Not recommended unless you fancy trying something else, this may be advisable....
